S.W. Cannon was raised in Birmingham, Alabama but now lives in Marietta, Georgia. Known to her friends as Sha' (pronounced "shaye")​​. Her first published work of fiction, Casey Canyon, is a suspense novella with action and a love triangle that will keep you guessing. I've been writing since those black & white composition books given out in a middle school creative writing class. About 3 years ago I decided to write seriously. It was then that I wrote and self-published my first book.​ Since then I've written more books under my name and ghostwritten a few under other authors' names.

If they remind me of anyone (even a tv character), then I name them similar to that person or character.​ I have also used certain names because they conjure a ready made personality for me.

I knew my first fiction book would be part one of a three book series. In fact, I have my fans fussing at me to write book two in that series. ​I enjoy short reads. For this reason my books tend to be series divided into short reads.

I selected the story that seems to tell itself in its entirety to me and interested me as an avid reader and not just a writer.​

Yes, mostly me but also other avid readers in book clubs that just want to share a conversation about a great story that they relate to as well as are entertained by. ​

I start with my beta readers. They helped me build my book by checking my plot flow. They already feel a sense of ownership regarding my book, therefore they are more likely to give a great review. The best review I ever got was from a lady that loved to read so she started sharing her reviews on a website. It means opening up and telling your vulnerabilities ​so that unknown people can like them, relate to them or hate them.

I just finished two books in a series for my author coaching ​programs. I am now focused next ebook in my ABC series based on my blog https://stfu4abetterrelationship.wordpress.com/ followed by the second fiction book in my Canyon series. Can you tell I like series?

I have scheduled time to write and I also make time for organic, unscheduled opportunities. However, I do not write every day. But even if I'm not writing, my head is creating what will be written. ​

I promote my work to book clubs. I also vend at live literary events​ and utilize social media. I have a weekly live video stream "show" where I speak on topics for other authors: Wine Down Wednesdays with @Author_SWCannon on Blab.im. I have used this show to sing the praises of Quotesrain as a great way for authors to build their author platforms.
