      • I wrote some for the elementary school newspaper. I also kept small journals here and there. I also found my letters to my grandmother I had written which became the basis for some of my book. I also wrote my book after a young boy in Denver committed suicide because he came out to his classmates as gay. He was bullied by them, he was all of 9. This triggered my memories of my first sexual experience with the boy next door at the same age, I decided it was time to act, time to write to save one more child. I also decided it was my time to be truthful with myself and with the world that I was also gay

      • I don't know if any author's work resembles mine because I didn't sugar coat this book. I was truthful and to the point. I think the writer of A Child Called It our books would be similar
