A Twist of Fate Kindle Edition
Has a twist of fate sent her back in time? This is a question which plagues Arianna Ward when she wakes up to find her memory in fragments, like a long forgotten dream.
Everyone claims her name is Annabelle. The year is 1814 and she’s married to Captain Keldon Buchanan, a man who despises her. The more she learns about her life, the more she realizes why she’s chosen to forget it. She’s a liar and an adulteress. She doesn’t understand why she wanted to destroy her marriage when her heart tells her she belongs with Keldon.
Keldon harbors his own secrets. He's the Highland Pirate and secrecy is the difference between life and death. He doesn’t trust his wife, but he finds his heart softening to the woman his wife has become. If he didn’t know better, he’d swear he's married to another woman and he’s fallen in love with her.

An epic love story you just can't miss!

I absolutely loved this book. From the moment I turned to the first chapter I was enthralled by this Time Travel romance on many different levels. The passion between Keldon and Arianna pours off every page with an unstoppable force that made my pulse pound with excitement and my heart melt at every turn. Karen Michelle Nutt weaves this extraordinary tale with words that prove her writing is a true art form and I greatly admire her talent.
Every single one of her fictional characters who played their part in this early New Orleans setting was mesmerizing in their complexity and believability, and she gave new perspective to the ones from history that we know now, with skilled ease.
I sincerely hope that everyone who comes across 'A Twist of Fate' by any means, picks up this title and puts it at the top of their 'to be read' list. I wouldn't have missed it for anything in the world.

Arianna switches places with a truly awful woman in 1812. Struggling to remember her life and prove she is not the horrible Annabelle. Keldon the husband is disbelieving and cruel. The story is well woven into the historic events of the war. Very entertaining.

*** A Twist of Fate ***
Reviewed in the United States on 9 June 2014Verified Purchase
This was the first story I have read by Ms. Nutt and as several other reviewers stated, I was also sad to see it end. I love stories with lots of History intertwined with time travel. Ms. Nutt used a different means for Arianna to arrive in the past that was intriguing. The characters were written with much depth and it was easy to visualize the settings and the interactions as the story and plot unfolded. I Enjoyed the "Scotsman" in the old South. I read this story in one sitting and although I had a couple questions that were never answered they did not take away from the enjoyment of the story. I would recommend this story if you are interested in American History as She did a wonderful job of weaving a fictional story around the events of the war of 1812.

How much is too much?

I read this book for the first time many years ago when it was free for the kindle fire. I fell in love immediately, so much so that I began reading it again. I’ve read this book about 7 or 8 times now over the past few years. I finally bought the physical book so I can take it anywhere and not have to worry about my device dying. This is honestly one of my favorite books. I love all the characters, and they complement each other to make the book more interesting!
