Loved Jack and Liza! It was definitely worth the wait! Two people destined to be together, find love that one never considered and the other dreamed of but never thought they'd have. Jack is a professional baseball player plagued with career ending injuries. Liza is the team orthopedist who has lived her life for her narrow-minded parents! Jack sees her value and recognizes she's what he's been looking for in a wife. Liza, the consummate professional, doesn't give him the time of day. But with a push from her best friend and her own sense of guarded interest, she opens up to Jack. They both discover they are soulmates!
Having Jack and Liza come from different ends of a dysfunctional family was good but would've liked to see some interaction between Jack and his family. Even though we knew how he felt, it would've been nice hear their thoughts just like we heard Liza's family's twisted viewpoint. Just like Jack, would've liked to see some interaction between Liza and her family. Yes we got her backstory about her ex-boyfriend, but seeing the dysfunction, especially with her sister would've been good.
Also, I would've liked to see an old flame from either one come back with a little drama. Jack was a single playboy so it would've been expected there'd be a jilted lover expecting to be Mrs. Penny. Although Wilson was a rival for Jack, he wasn't as strong a rival that he could've been. His explanation for telling on Jack seemed genuine but when it was done, it looked like he was jealous and wanted to best Jack.
All in all, I throughly enjoyed this book!

Jack Penny lived and breathed baseball until a knee injury benched him. While under the care of the beautiful Dr. Liza Charles, he often wondered what she was like outside of the office. He had made up his mind to ask her out until she made a suggestion that caused him to show a side of himself that he will forever regret.
Dr. Liza Charles never had a patient react as badly to a diagnosis as Jack Penny had. He was one of the nicer athletes, so she thought. But his outburst left her frightened. When he requested another doctor, she was more than happy to oblige.

Love is patience

This is my sixth book I have read of this author so I follow her work and have enjoyed it. This one was a little off for me.Can't really put my finger on it but I didn't enjoy it as much as the others. Liza couldn't get any whinnyer if she tried. The only problem with this relationship was her. Grown women still trying to make her parents proud when she was enough. They ran her crazy and she couldn't let go it took her a long time to realize that there comes a time you have to make yourself happy. Jack had patience with her so the journey and struggle continued.
This is a journey story for me because you get to witness the engagement but HEA we have to just imagine the rest as they just walked off into the sunset.

Loved this book. Ms. Brown did it again. I am such a big fan of Ms. Brown, her books are always attention grabbing. Her books are one click buy for me. I do not have to get a sample test it out before I buy. Great read and great price for the excellent level of product you receive.

Don't See Color Only Love

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I found it to be a very good book. The storyline held my attention from the very beginning until the end. Two people from different backgrounds and races meets, neither one was looking for love. Then one day after many attempts of Jack a professional baseball player trying to get the attention of Dr. Liza Charles a orthopedic surgeon love for them happens. This is a life lesson of not repeating racial tension and prejudice that was taught to you all your life growing up and into adulthood.
I recommend this book to read and I would read another book by thid author.

Just Okay for me

I think I need to read this again but something was missing. I hate how it ended. I don't get that small insecurity that she had. I think the author could do a bit more with the racism. I'm not saying overwhelm me but since you include it give me something. Don't waste the Epilogue on him meeting her parents give me another chapter for that and then use the Epilogue for something else.
