I write erotic romances as Juliette Banks, but some of you may also know me as the author Rachel de Vine. I am British and live in a beautiful rural part of England. However, I also like travelling to remote and unusual parts of the world, and hope to do so for a long time yet.

I write mainly romances, because I am an incurable romantic, and I write erotic romances because I am always attracted to the sexuality and sensuality that is within so many of us. I like to write about interesting characters who often have to survive life's challenges before they can reach the happy ending they deserve.

    The story of a young model, Marianne Delaney, and her life and what makes her who she is. It is one of those stories that we start at a point later in her life and then regress back in time and build back up to understand the beginning scene. Marianne isn't vain or pretentious, she is beautiful both inside and out, and a highly sought after model.

    The storyline kept me captivated and many times in her life had the reader on a roller coaster of ups and downs that she experienced. The various men in her life that had both positive and negative effects, because, in reality, life does have its ups and downs. Marianne learns how to grow and explore her submissive side; it just takes the right Doms.

    This is the first book I've read by this author. The story was both sad and sweet. Marianne had such a sad, unfortunate life and finally found a wonderful older man to love. He introduced her to BDSM and she was happy for the first time in a long time. Then tragedy struck. She had to overcome so much.
    I would recommend this book. It is written in a style that is not a favorite of mine, still still a very good story and worth the read. I voluntarily reviewed this book for an advanced copy.

    This is my first book by Juliette Bank and I really enjoyed it. It is a beautiful written book about Marianne’s journey as a submissive. The book starts with Marianne and a very intimate session with her dom and goes back in time to her previous experiences.

    It is not an easy journey and it has is ups and downs. I really liked Marianne and how she grows during the book and learns about herself and her desires. This book has an array of emotions, it is sweet, romantic, sexy and sad.

    I found this story to be more in the style of memoir than story, as it focused on incidents and relationships through the life of Marianne, and not solely on the 'hero'. This isn't normally a format that I'm a fan of and I initially didn't think that I'd like this book. Overall though, it was a good read showing that each relationship built upon the previous, thereby bringing Marianne to the point that she reached with her final Master. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.

    Marrianne Delaney is a young model that we learn through the story has the long hidden desire...no need, to be a submissive. She needs a Dom who will take care of her. Marrianne suffers great loss as well as unprecedented growth. In the end will Marrianne find the Dom to take care of her emotionally, physically, and psychologically? Read this fantastically written story to find out. You will not be disappointed in the story as Juliette tells it.

    I enjoyed this book, the first I have read by Juliette Banks. The heroine Marianne is sweet natured without being naive, a natural submissive, while independent at the same time. There are many sizzling sex scenes and discipline scenes in the book. I do wish that the book focused more on Marianne's romance with her final Master, instead of telling her life story. But, all in all, it was a good book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

    Marianne has always been beautiful, but she doesn't see it. She has been a world class
    model. She tries to date but always ends up with the wrong man. She then realizes that
    she is looking for a D/S relationship. Each experience is not what she is looking for until
    the right one comes along and tragedy strikes and later she meets the one and only
    for her.
