Once again the widows fall into a mystery. This time it is a death that does not make sense. Write is in the hospital for pneumonia and the lady in the bed next to hers is due to go home in the morning, but come morning the lady is dead. No apparent reason. However, before the body is removed from the room, Ettie manages to get out of bed and pull the blanket back and sees a mark in the neck where a syringe had been.

Write remembers seeing a nurse in the room during the night with a syringe and suspects foul play. She tells one of the widows and gets Detective Crowley involved and the fun begins!

A good addition to the series. A quick read and as always a good read. Now on to the in the series.
