Talented new author Marco Marek was born in Turin, Italy and is fascinated with fantasy stories, medieval magicians, ancient history, and unexplained mysteries. Hence the birth of his first novel - HYPEREARTH – a response to a visit to a castle in Eastern Europe. Marco has a strong future in writing, but he is also a painter and photographer. The three avenues of art marry in this successful volume.

Authors who are successful in penning books of romance and espionage must have the ability to capture the attention of the reader from the first few pages. Marco offers a portal to his adventure that not only introduces his two main characters immediately, but he also enters the mystery that is to develop as the book unwinds.

AMSTEL GIRL is complex and can be reduced with difficulty to a little synopsis to gather attention to a story that is very well written: ‘It's a quiet life in the Amsterdam's canals, but Wesley didn't know what to expect, just released from being unfairly locked away at Haan Psychiatric Hospital. He met Megan right after, a beautiful but quirky girl, with passion for a high-risk life. A wicked love and dangerous encounters with criminals of the underworld, that's what Wesley gets just after his exit from the psychiatric hospital. Together they will be involved in lots of spy intrigues, adventures from Amsterdam, the Netherlands with trips in Monte Carlo and Astana, Kazakhstan, and they begin to flirt with each other, will they fall in love? And will Wes succeed in solving all the troubles these criminals from the underworld of international crime have involved him?

Though some may find it difficult to relate with concern to some of the characters, there is no question that the speed of the story development will erase any of those obstructions. Marco is growing – and it will be interesting to see where he takes us next. Grady Harp, January 17

Amsterdam. Wesley “Wes” Wooter (patient, personality DO) was waiting for Velika (patient processing clerk, Bulgaria) to get done with his paperwork. Julia had his suitcase in hand.
He was free at last from Haan Psychiatric Hospital (Ooster Park).
It wasn’t long & Wes met Detective Megan De Kuip.
A male (35) had been found murdered in an apartment.
Eva (Wes’ cousin, prostitute) had found a key & a note.
Wes & her headed for the train station to find the locker.

    A briefcase & a notebook. HHHmmm?

What did Cindy reveal about KAZ?
What did Mr. Voronin say to Wes?

Warning: This book contains extremely graphic adult content, violence, or expletive language &/or uncensored sexually explicit material which is only suitable for mature readers. It may be offensive to some readers.

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. All thoughts & opinions are entirely my own.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written thriller/suspense book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great crime mystery movie, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.
