Liam is the owner of Sullivan’s where Brooke works. She came to Amesport close to a year before, temporarily. Now circumstances back where she grew up in California are less dire,she can return. She gives Liam her notice, only to find he’s not willing to let her go without a fight. But she’s scared he won’t want her when he finds out she lied to him about why she’s in Amesport. There are more secrets to reveal that even she isn’t aware of which eventually come to light:)

Loved Liam and Brooke’s story and I hope we find out more about her brothers and sister!

These books would have to be one of my favorites. J.S. Scott was the reason I started reading romance novels.

This story was touching and down to earth. Their love story is not a over the top unbelievable tale, it is honest and very relatable.

Liam and Brooke both deserved happiness and found it together.

Each book too much like the others in the series

I enjoyed my first read from this author (can’t remember which one it was). I subsequently found all the rest of the books about the Sinclairs and have read all 7 in a matter of days. Not a good idea. Each book is substantially the same. I won’t do any spoiler alerts and I really did enjoy reading them all albeit so quickly but that is the way I like to read all the books in a series. The disappointment for me was that I felt like I was re-reading the previous book each time I started a new one as it seemed that only the names of the main characters had changed and the plot was perhaps a bit different but the love scenes and sexual innuendoes were practically word for word and the way each Sinclair kept insisting that the love interest was “Mine” became boring book after book.

Brooke had grown up in California with her mother ,four brothers and a non identical twin sister, their father was no longer with them, in-fact their mother told them very little about him. After their mother died and with no family to take them in they were left to fend for themselves life was very hard and they did everything in their power to keep their family together . After Brooke graduated she had a job in a bank it was a job which she loved ,but one day her life changed when she whitnessed all her bank colleges being killed in a robbery . Naturally after seeing the event and realising that it was a miracle that she survived Brooke felt that she needed to get away to try and get her life back to some sort of normality . Her brother Noah had a friend Evan Sinclaire who arranged for her to come to his home town of Amesport which Is in Maine where Brooke gets a job with Liam Sullivan at his steak and seafood restaurant . How Evan & Noah know one another will be revelled in an OMG moment later on in the book . Giving very little away of her past Brooke keeps herself busy but of course the sexual tension between Liam and herself crackles throughout until both give into their feelings and act on it ,but as Brooke is nearing her end of her stay at Amesport has Liam left it too late to make his move , and how will Brooke react when she learns the big secret that her siblings and Evan have kept from her for a year ? If like me you’ve read all the preceding novels you’ll know the background story to the Sinclairs and you will also know what a kind of a father they had , but even saying that , when the big bombshell was revealed it took me completely by surprise .
