Lady Justice and the Sting, Lady Justice and Dr. Death, Lady Justice and the Vigilante, Lady Justice and the Candidate, Lady Justice and the Book Club Murders, Lady Justice and the Cruise Ship Murders, Lady Justice and the Vet and Lady Justice and the Pharaoh's Curse won the Pinnacle Award for the best new mystery novels of Fall 2011, Winter 2012, Summer 2012, Fall 2012, Spring of 2013, Summer of 2013, Spring of 2014 and Fall of 2014 from the National Association of Book Entrepreneurs.
Many of Walt's adventures in the Lady Justice series are anecdotal and based on Robert's real life.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2013This book was thought provoking and had a ring of truth that made it actually scarey. We all know that our government is full of corruption. I don't think it's possible to have that many people who have that much power without having some degree of corruption, but do we ever stop to think about just how many facets of our lives that corruption might touch? This book along with the rest of Mr. Thornhill's books have the ability to both make you think and be thoroughly entertained at the same time. well done!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2016Once again the author writes with a moral in mind. The hero's play a dangerous role but stay focused on the plot. Some humor is added but the plot thickens and the good guys stay alive to fight again in the next novel. Light reading after a difficult day.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2015This was one of his best books - I think. Seems to me that is how I felt about all the others too. The thing is, this was about something I have felt very strongly about for fifty years - the government in bed with the pharmasuiacles.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2015Robert Thornhill has written another great book. Both funny and serious. Crime solving but not really mysterious and raising questions about our world view. You laugh and occasionally cry, but always are made to think.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2015As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed this book by Robert Thornhill. Little bit of everything. The only thing I have a problem with is when the font changes, but that didn't happen too much. I will definitely read more by this author.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2014Another fun adventure with Walt Williams, his partner Ox, and the gang!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2015Love this series! Comedy/mystery at it's best! Keep them coming Robert Thornhill!!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2017Robert Thornhill has become my favorite author with his Lady Justice series--I can't get enough of them.
As with all of Thornhill's Lady Justice stories, this story makes you stop and think--especially about our government and how lobbyists for big companies, including pharmaceutical companies, are big influences over the way our government is run. Instead of the government being for the people, it is all about who has the most money to line the pockets of politicians.
One of the things mentioned in the story that I am going to have to research is Statin drugs. If what is true in this story about Statin drugs then I feel pretty uncomfortable as I am on one and have been for years. This has really made me stop and think and wanting to know more about these drugs. You will just have to read the story to find out what I am talking about.
The murder to solve in this story is the murder of a Holistic Physician--an assassin has to stop a study from being published that will sink sales in big pharmaceutical companies--we are talking about billions of dollars. This is where the sting comes in involving Walt and the FBI.They will have to go right up the ladder in order to stop the corruption and protect the lives of others involved in the study.
Besides being a very entertaining story this is a very educational story. I think some of you will be surprised by some of the things you read in this book--you will stop and think about how in real life this is affecting you.
I got this with my Kindle Unlimited account and that is why you won't see verified purchase at the top. There were no profanity or sex scenes and I really appreciated it. As with all of the Lady Justice stories this is a stand alone story--but read the others before this one in order to get a better flavor of the recurring characters.
