A Knight's LOVE: Medieval Highlander Romance (Campbell Brothers Book 2) Kindle Edition
Fighting alongside his two brothers, Garvin Campbell of Clan Campbell is content to remain in the shadows. After all, he’s lived most of his adult life as a Knight Templar, and that requires him being in the shadows, not seen or heard.
When the Templars are disbanded, Garvin returns to his clan to use his skills in the fight against the English for Scottish independence.
Having been told all her life to avoid the Campbells, the last thing Lady Helen is thinking about is falling in love with a Campbell, and a Knight Templar at that. She is aware the Templar Knight has taken a vow of abstinence, so when Garvin Campbell comes to her clan to deliver a decree from Robert the Bruce, Helen is unprepared for the connection she immediately feels for the knight. She dismisses it as butterflies at meeting a knight, but fate has other plans for her and Garvin, as he becomes her reason for living and he forgoes his training of remaining in the shadows as he surrenders to love.

While the first book in the series saw the main characters transported from 21st century America to 14th century Scotland via a magical time-travel portal, this novella stays strictly in the early years of medieval 14th century Scotland. The strong but reserved Garvin is re-drawn into the long-standing conflict between the Campbell and MacDougall clans when Laird MacDougall’s younger brother arranges an attempt to kidnap Laird Campbell’s young son. This begins renewed hostility between the simmering clans, and Garvin is introduced to the young lady who is destined to become his wife within the walls of Castle Lorne, the enemy MacDougalls’ holdout—having infiltrated the stronghold (under the guise of being a MacDougall warrior) in an attempt to uncover the facts of the failed kidnapping attempt. Is she a MacDougall, he wonders, or worse yet, English? He must get to know her to find out. He subsequently learns that she is closely aligned to the enemy clan, and her mother in particular is determined that her eldest daughter marry one, ideally Laird MacDougall himself.
In the end, Garvin not only manages to purloin a semi-conscious Lady Helen (just a short time after Laird MacDougall somewhat presumptuously announces to one and all that she is to be his wife) out of Castle Lorne but later on the priceless Brooch of Lorn as well—using special supernatural gifts that are similar to yet different from those of his brothers.
This novella is a sweeter read than the first book in the series for those who enjoy romances that are not overly steamy. What it does share with The Elusive Highlander is action and adventure—set against the backdrop of the rugged Highlands at a time when Scotland is stubbornly fighting to maintain its independence from England—along with the story of the enduring love between a man and woman destined to live their lives as one. History, conflict, tension, true love—what more could a reader ask for?

The Campbell Brothers Book 2
by Ju Ephraime
⭐⭐⭐⭐️⭐️
Oh WOW! This is a absolutely fabulous story, it's a uniquely well developed, lovingly written, one of the greatest historical romance I've read, OMW Ju Ephraime is a author that I sure enjoy reading and I'm excited to read book 3 in this series by her. A Knights Love has all the elements that I have truly enjoyed. What a completely captivating series written by Ju Ephraime with such strong characters that will totally demand your attention. The scenes are so hot you need a fan and a ice cold beverage just to read this series!!There are parts that just drew me in and I couldn't stop reading until I finish the story. It has characters that are lovable, compelling and exciting, but there is one that I really enjoyed, reading about in the story, although it features all three Campbell brothers Gavin, Dair and Tristan aIong with Coira Dair's wife their story is book 1, this is book 2 Gavin and Lady Helen story. This historical romance is such a believable magical and romantic story that is so well developed that the readers will instantly fall in love. The setting is in the fourteenth century Highlands, you will absolutely fall in love with the scenes description. There is suspense, magic and more romance. The story features lady Helen who is a strong willed young woman who has been told all her life to avoid the Campbells, the last thing Lady Helen is thinking about is falling in love with any man especially a Campbell. Garvin Campbell fights alongside his two brothers but he remains in the shadows. After all, he is the oldest of Clan Campbell but he lived most of his adult life as a Knight Templar. So when Garvin and Lady Helen see each other from afar they are unprepared for the connection they feel immediately. You will find this story to be fabulous with a cast of remarkably impressive and engaging characters, a spectacular story with dynamic scene descriptions, phenomenal banter, gripping suspense, danger, mystery, camaraderie, action packed, emotional, blazing hot heart-throbbing sensual romance, that will bring joy to your heart. I give it FIVE HEARTS easily! It gave me hot flashes throughout the story! I would recommend this to everyone who loves a steamy historical romance with a little humor thrown in it's a great story that I will read again and again! I want you to know how much I admire Ju Ephraime, she puts her heart into her stories and I have enjoyed reading every book she has published. Now don't forget that this story is capable of pushing your thermostat up to 200! Plus I want you to know that it's a book that's easily enjoyed and loved with all the romance, sexy scenes, characters and humor. I know you'll be like myself and enjoy everything about this series.

Recommended if you enjoy well written historical fiction with a healthy dash of spice.

From the minute their stares locked in the hallway of Castle Lorne, where he went to deliver a decree, they both felt a connection.
Helen was at the castle to visit her godmother.
Garvin knew that he wanted Helen for his wife in spite of the fact that the Campbells and Mc Dougalls were sworn, enemies.
At first, Helen dismisses her feelings for Garvin, but fate kept throwing her in his path and she became captivated by him.
The book is interspersed with Scottish dialect which I could not understand at first but I grew into it as the story grabbed my interest.
Author Ju Ephraim is a master of historical fiction.
She knows her facts and presents them to the reader in a way they would enjoy.
I certainly enjoyed A Knight's Love: Medieval Time Travel Romance (Campbell Brothers Book 2) although I am not a lover of historical fiction.
