Going Down: A Steamy Ski Patrol First Responder Rescue Romance (The Kingsbrier Legacy) Kindle Edition

4.8 out of 5 stars 21 ratings

Southern boy Dash Newhouse drifts from one mountain to the next, chasing the snowfall. Paired for ski patrol rescue with an unstable first responder, I’m doubtful fortune is shining down on me.

Then one thing leads to *cough* a perfectly irrational hookup that’s hot enough to melt the snow.

Dash’s joie de vivre reminds me that I can’t live life to the fullest while playing it safe. And I can’t deny that his wanderlust doesn’t appeal to me as much as his rock hard abs. But will his antics help me navigate a steady new peak?

Dash and Kat’s steamy friends with benefits, ski patrol workplace romance is perfect for first responder, and winter sports romance enthusiasts! ** This book was previously published in Risking Everything: A Steamy Anthology of First Responders.

Dash is a crazy, funny, live life to the fullest kind of guy. He and Kat work at a ski resort. They are on the safety patrol. Dash teaches skiing also. Kat is full of reluctance when it comes to falling in love or marriage, because of her mother. Through trials and tribulations, they have to decide what’s right for them, please read.

Loved this legacy series book. I liked that it was more separate from the quintuplets than GraySin but still tied into their world and also liked that it was outside of Texas. This could technically be read stand alone from the series but also like how it ties in. Loved how the characters were different from the rest of the family.

Cat and Dash seem to be exact opposites. Their fall into love is steady a d strong. I love seeing Kat come around to her place in life and to her feelings but all things family and love. These characters are well written and so very likable Dash is an absolute dream. spospotr

This was just the lovely escape I needed to read during these strange times. How I wish I could be Dash and Kat and be carefree as ski patrol. Sweet romance. Likable characters and just the ending needed to help me fall asleep with a happy heart. I have looked to see what else this author writes and have fed my kindle a few more.

Thank you to Booksprout for a copy to read and give my honest opinion. I really enjoyed this book but this felt like a short read....

What did I like? So much honesty between the couple that I just implode.....boom. They were magnificent.... along with the hairless cat who we must clothe..... Yeek. So everything pretty much happens during a season and the season ends.... so does the relationship. Dash was super fun....

Would I buy or recommend? Yesssssss! This was a short but super fun book. The relationship meets little defiance but it ends in HEA.... so buy ... buy....buy.

Thoughts for the author..... loved it. ❤️

Going Down by Jody Kaye was a really fun, and super quick read. Kat and Dash prove that first impressions can often be wrong. Kat may be a little guarded after her parent's divorce but Dash is the perfect person for her to take a chance on. And Dash is such a lovable and quirky guy, always ready for adventure no matter where it takes him. Plenty of romantic moments between the two with just the right amount of emotion, fun, and chemistry. Definitely recommend! Thank you to the author and Voracious Readers Only for the chance to read this book.

This book was amazing and I wasn’t ready for it to end!!! It was so good, I was reading during my daughter’s field events...sshh, don’t tell her. Jody Kaye has made the growing list of my favorite authors. Kat and Dash were polar opposites but they helped each other move past baggage that they had been carrying. Plenty to keep me engrossed, even a little teary. Hey, don’t judge me!!! Soooo ready for the next one!!

I think this is the first book I've ready by this author.

    Low angst
Sex scenes are hot but not over played
    Characters are intricate yet simple
    THE CAT IS AWESOME

This is one of those perfect shorter stories and I will be adding this author to my WTR pile.
