Colleen was released from prison early. Came to see Alexandra about taking her kids back to New Orleans with her. She dies and Alexandra has full custody of her grandchildren. Detective gone rogue tries to assault Alexandra and ends up dead.

I really enjoyed the sequel to "The Savant of Chelsea and will read the 3rd instalment as soon as it comes out. The main character is fascinating and it is heartening to see her with her grandchildren - finally having a family of her own.I

While I like 99% of the book the one thing I didn't like is that every man Alexandra meets is an obsessive stalker. While she is beautiful, she also has issues that would normally make it difficult for a woman to establish one relationship.

Engaging sequel to The Savant of Chelsea. Through both of the books, the reader can't resist cheering on Alexandra as she adapts to her new life. The book was a page turner, and the one thing that fell a bit flat for me was that as a reader, I felt rushed. Some events happened so quickly that it was a stretch of the imagination to believe in the constructs. Flip side: I want to know what happens to Alexandra going forward!

Having read the first book, The Savant of Chelsea, I was keen to eat the sequel.what a disappointment. Was it written by the same person? Details had changed with no explanation ( seven children became six, change on the name of her driver, the name of her older sister different). Also parts of the story lacked credulity, the relationship with the homeless couple and Pierre. The description of the family in the New York setting seemed empty and relegated to almost afterthought in comparison to Alexanders's New Orleans encounters with them .Overall not a patch on the first book.
