I love myself a good romantic paranormal book. Anything with vampires, demons, werewolves and witches and I'm happy and I have to say, I found myself a new book boyfriend in ZACH, man that demon is hot, I want to be bad just for the chance to meet a demon he is so hot.

This story has you gripped from the start, everything draws you in, from the Sentinel King to the alpha males in Zach, Drew and Hunter to the innocence of Kat.

I love a tortured soul and Zach is definitely that, events from his past leave him consumed with guilt and he has spent the past 200 years blaming himself.

kat will do anything for her nephew, even sell her soul to the devil.

When these two meet sparks fly and and for every inch of darkness Zach is, Kat is pure light

A fantastic easy read that leaves you hungry for more.

Kat Larson’s nephew is in remission from leukaemia, desperate to keep it that way ,she’s being staked daily by the Evils who are our evil demons ,they offer Kat a deal which is in exchange for her nephews continuous remission she must give herself to them and go to their demonic realm . Unbeknown to her at this time is that her nephew’s health will continue to be stable without any demonic help ,they just want her as they realise she’s “special” we learn how special later on in the story . Of course as well as pure evil we must have relatively good evil , enter the Sentinel demons ,they are controlled by the King Kristoff . Zachary Winston and his two brothers Drew & Hunter , they aren’t blood brothers, are three extremely wealthy Sentinel demons , the King hands Zachary a mission he must go to Kat and claim her before the Evils can take her . Zack arrives just in time and after making a bargain with him she willingly goes with Zachary , Kat’s finds out though that she’s still not safe from the Evils and they try to steal her away when they enter her mind whilst she’s sleeping . It also turns out that she’s Zachary’s “Radiant”the one that’s meant to put a little light into his darkened soul . This story is very fast paced and chock full of hot action between Kat & Zack , which leaves the question is there a happy ending for this couple ..... of course there is .....although I think Zack & Kat will be popping up in the remaining books .

There are demons. Evil ones. And not so evil ones, good ones for the most part actually. These are the Sentinels, created eons ago so that they could prevent or lessen the damage done by the evil demons.
Zachary is one of those Sentinels, who's sent on a rescue mission to save Kat from making a bargain with evil. But it looks as if he got more than he bargained for - Kat is his so-called radiant, the one woman made for him, as there is only one for every Sentinel. But with the guilt he's carrying, he's sure he's not good enough for her. Kat, a curvy red-head, wonders what a good looking demon billionaire wants with someone like her? Surely he'll soon get rid of her?
A well written paranormal romance, with a surpising depth to the protagonists, a quite good plot, and enough humour and fights with evil included to keep this an interesting book that I was hesitant to put out of my hand.
I would definitely like to read more in this series.

This series has lots of fun potential – including:
1) A wonderful creative take on demons that had a semblance of background logic to it. Also the demons and use of magic had to live by rules and consequences. Well done! Love that the demons are not invincible, they feel pain and vulnerability, and have instincts so strongly woven into their DNA that it defines them (showing them different and non-human).
2) Yes, it is a series, but thankfully this book contains a full story and not an annoying cliffhanger.
3) Author did a decent job of justifying the love-at-first- sight attraction for both Zach and Kat and why they would be attracted each other. What the other possessed that they hadn’t found in anyone else.
4) The camaraderie between the demon brothers and their king was believable and showed in their banter and their actions.

A couple disappointments:

1) The ending was choppy. Felt like several scenes were deleted or rushed to the end.
2) If Kat was so tight with her twin sister and her nephew, then why no scenes with them? It is a bond so tight that Kat was risking her soul for them. She never talked with her sister. In the epilogue they show up and love Kat’s new boyfriend and buddies. It felt weird. So much to glean from this side of Kat – to see her interact with her sister and nephew would have added depth to Kat’s character. Also, what does a “normal” human or child see, when they see a sentinel demon? What does a demon feel when a child expresses unconditional love and acceptance towards them?
3) There were many opportunities to expand the scenes to include more dialog between Kat and Zach (where they didn’t talk about how she looks, why they are attracted to each other, or sexual innuendoes). Missed the banter and learning about each other, which made the relationship fell more lust-based than character-based (though there were hints of more, but we were told this, not shown this). Another couple 1,000 words could have solidified it.

Will definitely plan to buy the next when it comes out and re-read this one again.
