From the New York Times, USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling author Sandi Lynn comes a USA Today bestselling novel.

One night after a stranger saved me and took me to his home, my life was changed forever. One man. A brutally handsome man who made it his mission to heal me, save me, and show me a world that had previously only been a dream to me.

Ian Braxton is far from perfect. He’s a self-absorbed, demeaning, arrogant, and womanizing billionaire. He made it easy to hate him but very hard to resist him. He came from money, and I came from poverty. When our worlds collided, his struggles became mine, and mine became his. I fell madly in love with him and wanted more than he was willing to give. He broke me and left me more shattered than the night he found me.

Sometimes walking away is the only option.

    I loved this story..
Basically about two people, Rory aka: aurora Sinclair and Ian Braxton. Two Broken people in different ways and live in different worlds, who are brought together one unforgettable night..
Rory, was raised by her drug addict aunt due to her mother passing away when Rory and her brother, Stephen were 10 years old.. basically, she was degraded and told she was useless, punished and even abused physically, mentally and her self-worth was very little to say the least.. she had a low self esteem and use to being spoken to rudely and harsh.. However, Rory did believe there was better out there, and she wanted it - she was just a broken girl who was use to a type of behavior and also taking care of her brother (won't spoil that one..) She is a fighter and has attitude and spunk, she stands up for what she believes in or at least tries to. She is attacked one night and runs away until she about passes out from bleeding and falls into a man who picks her up in hopes to get her help to heal her.. Ian Braxton... He is a millionaire, arrogant, feels entitled and believes women have only one purpose. (one night of pleasure for men)
This comes from also being broken from a loss as a child, his mother leaving he and his father alone. Being raised by his father (a lot of unknowns in this area, hope to find out more In bk 2) Ian learned how to treat a woman.. and that is take them to nice places, fancy, charm them and then use them for the evening.. (he doesn't get close to any of the women)
So you have to people brought together wanting love, but in Rory's case, she doesn't feel worthy.. nor has she even been told she was even pretty..
then Ian, he doesn't even think he wants love... so they live the only way they were taught.. until love does find them, but then also runs between their happiness as well...
very good book and kind of a cliffhanger, ends well.. but like I said earlier, feel there is more to the 'gut' of this story for these two to truly have their HEA!! looking forward to book 2...

Let me just say right now, I am huge fan of Sandi Lynn. I never thought I would love any book as much as her Forever Trilogy. Then I read Love in Between and fell hard for Luke. So that is why I am going to be honest here and say that I did not love this story. I did like it, but something was missing for me.
I have always become invested to characters that Sandi writes but I did not feel the pull as I have in the past. I try to put my finger on it and I think it might be the start of the book for me. I was shocked at how Rory behaved and did not find her believable, relatable or likeable. So after saying that, I did not feel that way the entire time of the book, at some parts I really did like her and my heart went out to her. To me Rory had a very rough upbringing and some of the harshness of her life did show through at times but then she would seem too polished and it did not make sense to me. On the other side, I loved how Rory would take charge of certain situations and not hold back.
The character Ian, yes he is HOT and I expected that from the author. She can write hot men and very sexual scenes that will make me blush and heat my blood. Ian is typical of many of male characters I have read before, so the concept of him was not new to me. Ian is take charge kind of man and possessive when he has no right to be.
The story has a whole did not work for me; I felt it moved quickly at parts and needed little more development for me to have been able to connect to them as much as I would have liked. I am still a total fan of this author and will totally continue to support her, I still plan on reading the next book in the series and I am hoping something will change for me.

If you love Connor & Ellery in the Forever Series you will def love Ian & Rory's story.

The pain was unbearable, but I had to keep moving. I had to keep running because, if I didn’t, he’d find me. I looked behind me as I ran through the streets; scared, alone, and in the dark as the mist of rain hit my face. There was no time to think, and there was no time to stop. My shoes were soaked as they sloshed through the puddles of the dimly lit streets.
My name is Rory Sinclair, and the night I was violently attacked was the night that changed my life forever. One man, a man named Ian Braxton, made it his mission to heal me, to save me, and to show me a world that previously had been only a dream to me.
Ian Braxton is far from perfect. He’s a self-absorbed, demeaning, arrogant, and a womanizing millionaire. He makes it so easy to hate him, but so very hard to resist him. We’re from opposite sides of the spectrum. He comes from money and I come from poverty. When our worlds collide, his struggles become mine, and mine become his, leaving us with one question:
How much would you give up to be with someone who was meant to be yours?

I love this story so much! Those two just seems to always give me whiplash w their back to back bantering, the apologies, the making each other feel special parts... ( all in good ways tho lol)
It's true what they say, you don't know what you've had until you lose it. I also love how a certain couple made an appearance in the book. I can't wait for book 2 because I have a feeling Andrew will make more an appearance. I really don't like that dude . Lol Great Job Sandi !! :)

I love this genre, and I hope Sandi Lynn continues to put out more sexy millionaire books like this I the future! This lady has so much talent writing these type of stores and loved the fact that her books are a great length of more than 300 pages. I really enjoyed this story as I can feel the connection between the characters. Their bantering and actions is what draws the reader into how they feel and it was an amazing feeling to feel their relationship building. Being able to see how each of their past affected them helped to strengthen the building of their relationship . I knew they loved each other before they admitted it. That is how good the plot and story was written pulling the reader in. Loved how Connor and Ellery made a guest appearance! I found sadness, angst, and humor which made this a fantastic read. I cannot wait to read the next book! Loved it!

So Sandi Lynn has done it again.

This story is a beautiful love story about a man who is to afraid to love and a girl who has forgotten what it's like. Ian Braxton starts out as a cold hearted commanding jerk and poor Rory is on the receiving end of it. You can see thru the story where Ian starts to fall for her but won't admit it he lavishes her with money, clothes gifts and even finds her missing brother.

I found myself in tears at some points thru out the book but I also laughed. Defiantly have your tissues on the ready.

This is an amazing book well worth the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ian and Rory!

Oh my, Sandi! What is it with you and sexy hot billionaires?

This was fab! spoilt rich boy although not in the usual rich boy fashion.

Doesn't do relationships! We take the whole book to find out why. He did the right thing saving Rory after she had been stabbed which we find out was done by her brother, poor poor girl!

Rory was this tough cookie, with a heart of gold, but only once you break through the stone layer she was covered in.

We learn about her tough background, she had it rough but that made her the tough cookie she was. Although Ian was this sex on a stick guy, I wanted her to last a bit longer before he charmed the pants off her!

They has a very unconventional friendship, she felt obligated to him because he saved her life but he wasn't prepared to let her in.

As we meet his friends and family I was in agreement with Rory's feelings from them all. Loved Adelynn she was a real sweetie, totally honest with Rory from the beginning, she was so kind considerate and very friendly!

Also loved Ollie and Jordyn from the Coffee shop, they both treated Rory with immediate respect and when Rory needed a place to stay Jordyn came through.

Ooh, Ian's dad, detested him straight away, and when Rory stood up to him! I was cheering !

The staff, Charles, Josh and Maria at Ian's house were great.

As we move along with Ian and Rory, with Rory falling more and more for Ian, with him telling her coldly that he doesn't do 'love'.

Everybody could see how Ian felt for Rory, all except him! they both found out more about each other and I have to agree with Rory, Ian was not a very nice man with some of his archaic thoughts.

I was really pleased when Rory finally took herself to Adalynns and went to Paris with her, she needed the time to get her head together and how sweet was Andre, her French boy! Who knew Ian would know him...

The Eiffel Tower scene so so lovely, so pleased Ian saw sense and that he got a proverbial kick up the backside!

I'm working through Sandi's back catalogue of books on my digital TBR pile. Although older releases, they are darn good stories!
Sandi loves the anti-hero who is out of touch with his feelings and appears cold.
That's Ian Braxton. A womanizing billionaire with a heart of ice.
He rescues Rory Sinclair, a girl from the wrong side of the tracks, with a heartbreaking history.
She claims to be "shattered, not broken."
The problems arise when Rory begins to fall for Ian...
