About the author

L. Ann started with the Baxters and followed that with multiple series and genres. While her books feature paranormal, FBI, ex-military and Badass Bikers, L. Ann is writing about the strong women that these men need in their life to help right the world’s wrongs and keep their small part of the world safe. The women are extraordinary, strong and determined to make a difference.
The men fight for right in every book. Yes, they kill people. Yes, the MC shoots at the bad guys’ feet to cause them pain. Yes, some throw tampons at each other regularly. That being said, they do these things while stopping human trafficking and experimentation, bringing their world into legitimate businesses, fighting gangs to keep drugs away from their towns and kids, keep women sheltered safely while trying to stop domestic abuse. These are men that don’t leave a pack, team member or Brother behind. They don’t treat women as possessions and they don’t cheat. Respect takes on an honorable meaning. Women and kids are cherished. Everyone is looked out for and everyone is equal.
L. Ann has made amazing worlds, tackled the taboo subjects and made it easy to imagine living in a world where your protection comes from the vampires, shifters, freaky kids, albinos and orientals, military turned FBI and some Badass Bikers.
With readers writing about rereading the series over and over, she feels like she’s told her characters’ stories in a way that would make them proud. Every book will make you laugh, every book will make you angry for the wrong that happens in the world. Every book will make you cry for the pain that a character feels.
Every book gives you hope that we may just get it right yet.

Elizabeth, has been a MC princess her whole life. Steve's over protractive ways have made her off limits and the few men who have taken a chance have treated as a conquest, and like a whore. While she has seen the kind of love all in is she thinks its something she will never have.
A tragedy bring Ricky and Elizabeth together. To much alcohol leads to a night of sex. When Tiny walks in the next morning, an emergency wedding is executed. Needless to say Steve is not happy.
Ricky and Elizabeth both feel they work. The readers say they work. Convincing Steve they work, and that Ricky can protect he, well that's a problem.
Ricky really treats Elizabeth as a princess, and a equal. While he worries about her safety her trusts in her abilities. He sees herself doubt and while he can't read her he can read those who contributed to her state of mind. He works to build her up.
Steve's retaliation's are epic and amusing at first. When Elizabeth get hurt and he doesn't let up, you realize that something is really wrong. Ricky sees it and works hard to bring Steve back before they have to do something unthinkable.
The attacks on the MC, Baxter's and Prince's, continue. As the big picture unfolds, the younger generation continue to show the older how capable they are.
A great story. Ricky is now my favorite of the men of the little brothers all grown up. Every women should have a life partner like Ricky. Can't wait for the next book. With Kaleb Baxter's political ambitions, can't wait for his and Jared's story. Will they be like their father's and share a wife or is their a special women out there for each of them.

First let me say that L. Ann Marie is a one-click for me and I love her little world of bada$$ SEALs and bikers. The combination is explosive. When I was waiting for Ricky's book the only thought that I had was "please don't let me dislike Steve as much as I did Ben (Pres)". But not only did she not put Steve in that category she actually pulled Pres out of the doghouse for me. Thank you!
On to my review, the book was funny and well thought out. I loved how Ricky became this take charge individual and how he stepped up when and where he was needed. I loved the relationship between Elizabeth and Ricky, how with all the freaky stuff going on and dealing with a "red" Steve they were able to find the HEA. I liked how Ricky didn't take any bs from the MC and stood up for Pres when everyone was pulling back. He made the older generation take notice that they became complacent in a lot of things and he showed them what loyalty actually was. He grew right in front of your eyes in this book and it was fantastic to see.
I have reread this book like all of L.Ann's books many times and each time I see more of how complicated these characters can been. I am anxiously waiting for the next book.
