5+ Stars Omg, I’m sitting here trying to write my review: mouth open, tears in my eyes. I don’t even know what to say. I’m a huge fan, this author has a way of making me smile and cry at the same time, fill my heart, break it and fill it again. I LOVE Trading Yesterday so much, beginning to end and everything in between. It’s an wonderful story, with lovable and unforgettable characters. Great Job!

I love second chance romances and Chase and Teagan deserve a second chance. This story is so much deeper, so much more than that. The love between Chase, Teagan, Remi, and Jensen…..is a beautiful story that hurts and heals…..it warmed my heart even as it ached! The unconditional love….understanding and forgiveness…I could feel it. Remi….this sweet and strong little girl, so innocent touched me deeply.

I’ve been so excited for this one, but I have to say I was not emotionally prepared, there were so many times I had to put it down because I just couldn’t take anymore. Kahlen has been a one click favorite of mine since Ryan and Julia; they’ll always be a favorite. She's an amazing writer and Trading Yesterday is a story I won’t soon forget! I can't wait for Finding Tomorrow!

Trading Yesterday is a second chance romance and is one of the best books that Kahlen Aymes has ever written!

I absolutely adored reading Teagan and Chase’s story. The conflict and character development of both of these characters was just beautifully written.

Chase and Teagan are college sweethearts. When Chase has only one more semester until he graduates, his dreams come true. He gets offered a spot on a professional soccer team! Not just any pro soccer team but Arsenal in London! He’s so excited but doesn’t realise that Teagan has news of her own.

When Teagan decides to keep her news a secret to let Chase have his dreams, she never expects the fallout that will come with it.

This book will pull on every single one of your heart strings and you WILL need tissues. I fell in love with most of the characters in this book and can’t wait to read more in this series!!

The ultimate second chance romance, every heart string will be tugged, every emotion felt and one love that truly lasts a lifetime.

First love and true love, a love so powerful, a soul mate connection, love that when it works its euphoric and when it doesn’t…soul destroying. The only love that transcends it, is the love you have for your child and Kahlen Aymes regales the reader with an emotional story about both. Ultimate sacrifices made, friendships tested, love, forgiveness, reconnection and one gorgeous little family.

Kahlen Aymes will have you running the gamut of emotions as her story navigates the trials and tribulations of a young family battling childhood leukaemia. Every mother’s worst nightmare and when nothing works, desperation kicks in, even if it means re-hashing a past that left you broken hearted.

Chase, the hero of the hour in more ways than one. A man that would do anything for the love of his life even after six years apart. His propensity to forgive is truly tested and it doesn’t come easy.

Kahlen Aymes truly delivers on the emotion with this story. My heart broke for everyone involved, I cried a river, my heart was battered and bruised, not only for the little girl undertaking the toughest battle of her life but for the three main characters whose connection and friendship will be truly tested. Some of the most heart-felt scenes were between Chase and his best friend Jensen. These two men totally owned my heart and the dialogue between them was full of emotion, truly powerful and two particular scenes that had my rapt attention and played out in vivid technicolour as if I was watching it on the big screen. Stunning writing.

“My choices were ignorant and careless of the possible consequences. Despite my noble intentions, despite all the other sh*t that happened that made it impossible to take it back or change it…”

This was a story of love and hope, friendships and forgiveness, honesty and integrity. Yes, it was angsty, yes, it is a meaty read, but the story speaks for itself. This is a relatively long book, but it didn’t read that way. From first to last page my attention was held throughout. The character connection was on point, the dialogue was perfect, but the moral of the story is what made this book a winner.

Kahlen Aymes always write a good book, but her first trilogy has always been my favourite, until now. As much as I love Ryan and Julia, Chase and Teagan stole the mantle that they have held for over five years. I simply adored this book.

Oh my flipping goodness!! I think Chase has overtaken Ryan. 😱

This was a beautifully written story, and just the thing for a 10 hour plane ride!

I knew it was going to be emotional, after the short story, from the love anthology.

Apart from a couple of comfort breaks, I read this in one go! And now I'm a hot mess, I have a stuffy nose and there has been some wierd leakage from my eyes.

I absolutely loved Chase and Teagen, from the short story, this grew into an amazing un-put-downable story.

A second chance story, with secrets, to crack the toughest of hearts.

The love story was beautifully told with all the other characters playing an integral part, not forgetting Remi, a sweet, full of life, little girl, going through some tough stuff, but still manages to stay up beat.

As hard as it was, finding out about Remi, Chase and Teagen had a ton of feelings to deal with, I even warmed to Jensen, siding with Chase at first too! I was so happy that Jensen and Chase were able to get over the hardship and get their friendship back on track.

I despised Bronwyn, and would like to say we British girls are not at all like her, but maybe I might be biased! She was despicable and as her insecurity unfolded you just knew she had more to say. Karma is a sweet b*tch, and I believe Bronwyn got what was coming to her.

I am so pleased that 2nd chances can work out how they are supposed to! And everyone involved got to really shine throughout the book.

The pages kept turning, with my fingers crossed for all the wrongs to be righted.

A lovely story, great page turner, with 2nd chances and big secrets and a wonderfully humble family at its heart.

I am ashamed to admit Chase as knocked Ryan into 2nd place as favourite book boyfriend!

Can't wait to see how Jensen's story unfolds in his book next.

Amazing... Amazingly Wonderful , Amazingly Heart Wrenching

How does one describe a book that draws you from page one and doesn't let you go until the very end? And then you want more..... No, this is not a cliff hanger at all, it's just you don't want the story to end . You fall in love with the characters as they live with remorse, pain, guilt and second guessing all the 'what ifs'.

So to sum it all up we have : A single phone call ... A saboteur ... A love triangle that will break your heart ... A very ill little girl that wraps you around her little finger.

As you read, it's easy to ask yourself... When is cheating not really cheating? How does true, brotherly love between friends become hatred? How can one phone call change so many lives? You find that you can't pick favorites because none of the characters were really wrong.... they don't know the whole story. What they know are half truths. But there always is a villain.... a deceiver, a backstabber, a saboteur... that's plays their role so well.

As you weave your way through all the trials and heartache, you feel as if you are in the story watching it all takes place. No story is perfect and as much as devoured this story I do have my list of wishes, wants and don't likes:

... the cursing was way overboard. It was unnecessary. It actually weakened the storyline. I hate spewing out the GD word and it happened over and over and over again. The 'F' word was pretty prominent too.

... partial spoiler here, but, the timeline of that phone call had me confused. I thought the 'breakup' already had occurred, then deep into the book it's explained that no, it hadn't.... that Teagan thought Chase had 'moved on', forgotten her and that's why she made that fateful choice.

... I failed to see Chase's leaving Clemson as wrong. It was discussed and settled. He was kept in the dark, not told anything. I don't see how 'Kat', Jensen or Teagan could blame him for his mutual decision made with Teagan. They kept telling him he chose to leave Teagan behind.... but it was mutual.... for their future and his career.

.... OH HOW I WANTED BRONWYN TO REAP WHAT SHE SOWED. I WANTED TO SEE AND FEEL HER COMEUPPANCE. She needed to pay the consequences and feel some real pain herself. She got off way to easy.

This was a book had all the feels. It was all about lies, betrayal, the consequences of poor decisions, sadness but also forgiveness and ultimately love because quite simply the heart can't help who it loves! And oh the angst! This book was full of it, which made it really difficult to put down. If you like a good dosing of angst you will love this book, if not stick with it because its worth it in end!

However, it's your typical storyline about college sweethearts and secret baby where the the hero, Chase goes off to play "soccer" in England leaving his love, Teagan behind whilst unbeknown to him she is pregnant and doesn't tell him. The twist to the story is that she goes on to have the baby, a daughter and ends up marrying his best friend. Their daughter then becomes gravely ill and she needs his help so she sends him a text from across the miles and he can't help but to go to her. We then experience a rollercoaster of all the feels and the emotions as they both cope with the lies and betrayal, but the hardest thing of all, is how they cope with the sadness of their daughter's illness. It is a very tense and emotional read at times but throughout it all there is an underlying theme of true love and eventual forgiveness that conquers all.

My only criticism (hence the 4 stars) is that the author had very limited knowledge of British football and it showed! She really shouldn't have gone there if she couldn't even describe the game! We Brits love our football, which is so much more than David Beckham and Arsenal! My other bug bear was with Bronwyn, the ow and that phone call! This part of the story line was left unanswered as we don't know how she got hold of Chase's phone and he didn't ask her!

I hope I've given enough to wet your appetite because all in all this was a really good read and I would highly recommend.
