“The Portal Prophecies: Volume 2” is obviously the second part of The Portal Prophecies series by C.A King. You MUST read Volume 1 first to know what is going on and who the major characters are. I want to start this off by saying that this book is one of the most imaginative, inventive and creative books I’ve ever read in my life. C.A King has an amazing ability to incorporate stories you have heard before and completely turning them on their heads for a new and exciting way of seeing some old tales and I loved how different it all was! Willow’s journey to truth and understanding is a very long one and worth every second! This is one of those books I didn’t want to put down, one of those books you sacrifice sleep, social life and all free time for just to know what happens next. I literally couldn’t read it fast enough, I just wanted to know what the next chapter held! I wish I knew of a better way to describe how much I loved this story. The whole world that C.A King built was brilliantly phrased so, as a reader, you could get a real feel for each location. Every place Willow went seemed more amazing and spectacular than the last and all of the characters so different and new. The end was so bittersweet as I had been dying to know where C.A King was going to take Willow and her journey, but I didn’t want it to end. However, some wonderful branches of the story were lined up and I’m sure I’ll need to read those, but I’ll miss reading about Willow and her friends. I truly could go on and on about how much I loved this book but just read it yourself and immerse yourself into the world. FIVE (million) stars for C.A King and “The Portal Prophecies!!!!”
