- Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2015Oh Samantha! What a great story this was with a very interesting ending for the three characters.
This was a fantastic short series, each story was very touching. I did enjoy the short books, I could go do things in between the books and still get the series read quickly. I would recommend this series for readers who like to read books with Amish socializing a lot with the Englisch. Oh yes, the Amish characters are quite interesting in the way they live in this series too.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2013I really like the series it is such an nice story, I love the characters. It is such an comfortable read and it makes you think what kinkd of life the Amish have compared to our materialistic environment.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2013I thought it was the best chapter yet. Although there wasn't a lot about the quilt or what was done to make it like picking out the fabric and the pattern and the cutting and the quilting of the quilt it was still a part of the story. However I love Samantha's writings and wish I could write like her. I can put my feelings into a quilt I make, but only I know their story. Thank you Samantha for letting me dream I am a spectator in your books.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2022I was so shocked tho read about Anna and Seth. I still don't like the idea of Nathan and Maddie. It's a lovely story line. Thanks!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2014This is another one of Ms. Bayarr's series attempts where Book 1 is excellent, but subsequent books feel rushed and unedited. I've said this before; she spends a lot of time on character and plot development in the first book, but then she starts taking short cuts. Characters become sketchy; plots become overly predictable. The most distracting problem is that spelling and grammar errors become more prevalent with each subsequent book. As I have said before, the books begin to feel like high school creative writing done the day before the project is due.
I'm wondering if she either self-publishes or uses her first book to get approval and advances from the publisher. Again I was disappointed.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2013This is an excellent book. I loved this whole series. All of these books have kept my interest all the way through. The author pulls you into the story and you feel for these characters and what they go through. I recommend them to anyone who loves to read. I look forward to more books by this author.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2013This book was just as good as the other three. I do wish there was more. I have read these and the Jacob's Daughter series, and felt really connected to the people in these books. I love reading books about the Amish. Thank you for these great stories, I look forward to reading more.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2021Excellent ending to this series. Now got to figure what to read now. Love these quick and easy reads. Enjoyed

5.0 out of 5 stars Messy Choices.
Choices make many messes but in time, with revised choices, may be a better choice or be stuck with their messy choices.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Quilter's Son: Book Four: Maddie's Quilt
I also enjoyed this book. It was light reading didn't have to follow too many different stories. I did figure out what was going to happen though and so thus the 4 stars instead of 5.
