    We met Piper in Gibson’s Melody when her mom and her escape from her mom’s abusive partner. When Piper loses her mom, Gibson and Chloe become her guardians and love and nurture her as their own. Now Piper is ready to make it on her own as a singer and is determined to do it on her own terms, without the star power of Gibson. There is also Simon, a member of Gibson’s band, who she has secretly crushed on since she met him. He is an older man with a lot of experience and she doesn’t think someone like him would ever be interested in an innocent like her. We get to go along on her journey learning the ins and out of the music industry and finding her way to love. This is a very emotional and wonderful story with love, friendship and family.

    Gibson and Chloe take custody of Piper after her mom died. Gibson and Piper share the love of music, which creates a special bond between them. Gibson is a famous rock star. Gibson and his band mate Simon help guide Piper in her music. They both think she has a special gift.

    This story is amazing. Piper sets off to make her dreams a reality. She wants to make it on her own ability not just have it handed to her. She is strong willed and willing to go after what she wants. I admire her for doing it her way.

    Simon becomes her confidant when things get bit rough. They have been friends for few years but this brings them a lot closer. There relationship has many obstacles standing in their way. I hope they will make all their dreams come true.

    The Last Score Series has been one of my favorites and this being perhaps the last book has me sad as I always love seeing Gibson Barclay. However this book does stand on it's own merit, I loved Piper, it was very refreshing reading a 20 year old act and think like one in her situation, from trying to go out on her own merit, to navigating a relationship with an older man, who has waaaay more life experiences under his public belt, without coming off immature. Simon didn't endear me as much but like Piper learns, you can't help who you fall in love with. The epilogue was very satisfying, especially seeing Kerr have his HEA. (less)

    The last book in this most awesome series. What can I say, I am worn out from doing nothing much but reading this entire series that I couldn't put down. This book was wonderful. I got to keep reading about the previous characters, would have liked a little more of them, but the book was as good as all the others. I love Piper and Simon as well as all the other characters, old and new. I could have read forever on this series and I am so sad it's over with this book. I do, however, look forward to exploring more books of Ms. Shandwick's and I can only hope they are even remotely as good as this entire series was.

    Piper : Age Gap Rockstar Romance       ( Last Score Book 4) by KL Shandwick  tells Piper's story.  Now 20 she decides not to go with the record deal Gibson has set up for her with a major label but she got her own deal all by herself. It is a small independent label and she is leaving Colorado to move to Santa Monica Ca. Of course she is proud that she was able to get the deal just by the company hearing her demo and not based on Gibson's name
    Gibson however is not thrilled at the ideal and feels she is to inexperienced and the business will eat her alive. Determined to make it on her own merit with anyone knowing her  relationship with Gibson except her manager, Piper finds herself in trouble not even a week in Santa Monica.  When Simon is made aware of the issue, he finds himself professing his feelings for her. Piper too has been harboring feelings for Simon but never thought anything would come of it. This is a cute story of two people trying to navigate a new relationship against several obstacles that can doom this relationship before it can really get off the ground. IE: the 12 year age gap, the fact Simon is Gibson's band mate, Simon's womanizer past and of course the tabloids and the press. Enjoyed their journey and loved their ending. 3 stars for me.

    I'm one of those readers that loves to hear more about characters they love. Piper is one of those characters I wanted to know more about, and I'm so pleased with this book!!! This Author is killer at writing Rock Star romance books. But i think she has some sort of inside information on this gig because she has such detail about everything. Makes me wonder about the authors past, lol. This last chapter/book was great and I didn't want to put it down, since I've read all of the Gibson's series of books. I had a feeling about where this book would take Gibson and Chloe this time in regards to their adopted daughter Piper, and the author certainly didn't disappoint me. Great read, loved it!! 5 stars again and again!!

    K.L. Shandwick you never ever disappoint.! It was 2015 when I read Gibson’s Legacy and Trusting Gibson... I was blown away then...some fifteen stories on and still feeling the same.
    Piper’s story is very special for many reasons... we know all to well what Piper and her mother endured for many years at the hands of Colin. It was emotional and heartbreaking then and even more so when they arrived at Dignity because the realisation of their situation began to unfold, nobody could have guessed how Piper’s life would turn out it was early days, there would be more heartbreak to come but Chloe and Gibson would be there every step of the way.
    I had a feeling something was brewing between Simon and Piper this story is proof of that.
    It is brilliantly and carefully written with all the feels that you would expect from the situation that Simon and Piper find themselves in...add to that the worry of Colin possibly showing up or something else happening to Piper as it almost did with Jeff, it certainly keeps you feeling very anxious and for that reason alone all I wanted was Simon and Piper to be together.
    As this fabulous storyline continues so does Colin and Pipers relationship however there is plenty of drama ahead especially when it comes to Gibson’s thoughts on the two of them being together let’s just say it doesn’t go down well. Simon and Piper have their work cut out proving to Gibson they are for real.
    Just as everything is going realy well disappointment sets in, Kerr being around doesn’t help, there seems to be a close friendship building between him and Piper which Simon isn’t happy about, Kerr is going knowhere because he’s part of Pipers band however it takes a phone call to change the mood between Simon and Piper... this causes concern and it’s the first time doubt and disappointment sets in regarding Simon.
    To say I was disappointed the way Simon dealt with Piper when she left for her first tour and then didn’t bother contacting her or send her flowers before her first performance was an understatement, it was all so unexpected considering how Simon had been behaving towards her...there had to be a reason.!
    More drama and doubt surrounding Simon follow but all is revealed and with everything sorted out all is good until it’s not because the very person we have been dreading shows up, to say Piper is taken by surprise is putting it mildly.
    It’s a worrying moment while we wait for Colin to do his worst but thankfully help arrives thank goodness because the situation could have turned out very differently, Colin thought he had it in the bag until Gibson told him otherwise and piper gives him a piece of her mind... terrifing as it was it’s a great scene especially as Colin realises his time is up.
    Gibson gives an Oscar winning performance to the press... it was a beautiful moment to witness and with everything out in the open there’s no need to hide family or relationships it puts a big smile on your face and with everybody on board all you can think about is Simon and Piper what is next for them.
    What an epilogue... what a great story...stunning.!!
    Can’t wait for more from K.L. Shandwick..

    What a perfect afternoon and evening this book has given me, I have sat with my feet up most of the day totally engrossed in Piper's journey. A journey of ups and downs and my emotions were right there with those ups and downs. This is a spin off from Gibson's series but can be read as a standalone. I have read the whole series so I already loved the characters that surround Piper on her journey.

    Gibson is a member of the band m3rcy, he and his wife Chloe took guardianship of Piper when her Mum died. Gibson and Simon (also from m3rcy)have been mentoring Piper. She has developed a secret crush on Simon but knows he's a player and he is a lot older than her but she can't help the feelings she gets when around him, Simon is also very attracted to Piper but she's Gibson's adopted daughter and a lot younger than her so he can't go there. Can he?

    This is a good read and I would definitely recommend it, it is well written and despite being a little over descriptive at times when it came to Piper's thoughts, it kept my attention. If you love a good rock romance with great characters, then this is one you should one click!

    Piper is a spin off of the Last Score series, this can be read as a standalone but you are much better to read the trilogy before getting to this beauty.
    So we have Piper who is now under the wing of Gibson and Chloe after a sad loss leaves her alone and vulnerable.
    As a new up and coming singer she has no clue what life would through to her next but she could never imagine it would be bad boy Simon from Gibsons rock band!
    Age gap, angst, love, loss and emotions galore this story has it all!
    Was good to see Chloe grow into herself and to see alpha Simon catch feelings and turn mushy!
    Really enjoyed this whole series and that epilogue was beautiful!

    my heart was singing as Simon was telling Piper how special she was.
    This is a beautiful piece of writing , with so much emotion that kept me
    enthralled from beginning to end.
