    Two years ago, Jett Larsen was in the hospital recovering from a helicopter accident where he and a team were returning from a hostile country after helping people escape captivity. His best friend Marcus Coulter had put PRO together to help where they were needed and no one else could go in. His fiancé, Lisette, was promptly breaking up with him as she couldn’t be around someone who was scarred and who would never be able to go to all the events she went to and be able to dance or do anything athletically. Jeff began to realize she was only with him because of his money and not for him. He believed her in spite of the fact that she was superficial. How could anyone want to be around him when he was so damaged. So, he set himself up as a recluse in his own home and worked from there to continue to make Larsen Technology the best. Not even his brothers could get through to him. Now two years later, he is at an auction to bid on a woman and take her to safety. He was doing this as a favor to his sister, Dani. Would it work?
    Ruby Kent found herself naked and being pulled by a chain around her waist to the stage where she would be auctioned off. How did she get here? It was due to her own stupidity.     This is another good addition to this series. I liked both Jett and Ruby, and was glad that they were able to find their HEA.

    I really liked Jett -- he was a sweetheart, and so very good to Ruby. Even though he didn't know her in the beginning, he still went out of his way to rescue her and make sure she was OK.

    Ruby had lived a very difficult life, with an abusive uncle, homelessness, and then a victim of human trafficking. Jett was patient with her as she learned to trust him, and did everything he could to help her heal. In return, she showed him that he was still a desirable man, and that his physical scars didn't bother her at all. There were perfect for each other, and I loved how they helped each other recover.

    My rating system is below.
    1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
    2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
    3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
    4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
    5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Thinking of food in her belly and some money coming in she accepts - but ends up naked being auctioned to the highest bidder for her virginity. Jett is Dani’s sister and she implores him to help her friend Ruby. Jett ends up at the auction, bidding on Ruby and finally winning her. Both have been broken by events and circumstances in their lives, but because of this they see each other clearly. A beautifully written story which makes your heart bleed but also lifts you up when you think of a romance built to last the ages! A true love at first sight story:)

    Only Author J.S. Scott can combine such a heartfelt story with Romance and passion. After being rescued from her captors, Ruby is presented with an array of opportunities to get her life back on track. However that opportunity comes attached to the handsome Jett. Life has not dealt her a good hand and she has suffered alone for so long that is hard to put her trust in anyone. Her heart wants something but her head tells her otherwise. She suddenly can't believe that one person can be the answer to all her problems and her chance at a happy life.
    After suffering a tragic war accident, Jett has resigned to live a life where love won't enter into the equation. He has gotten used to accept that nobody will ever looked at him without looking at his marred body. Protecting is in his nature so when he rescues Ruby he can't seem to stop felling the need to keep her safe. He is strongly attracted to her but he knows not to expect her to reciprocate those feelings. Fear of rejection hinders his ability to see the need in Ruby, but once in each others company they begin to realise trusting is something they both need to work on because once they can let the issues from their pasts go, there is something greater that awaits them and will bring them ultimate love.

    Another powerful story from the queen of Contemporary Romance. Author J.S. is magnificent at transmitting so much emotion in one book. I loved Ruby because she is not your usual heroine, in spite of her past she is so resilient and strong and Jett has the biggest heart that you can't just help but fall madly in love from the very first page.

    Ok I never want this series to end!!! In this book you have the handsome but broken Jett Lawson and the beautiful but also broken Ruby Kent. When Jett goes inside to rescue Ruby from a human trafficking scheme, Jett immediately is drawn to the beauty and strength of Ruby!! Jett takes Ruby under his wing to protect her and she is reluctant but very drawn to him also. Ruby can see Jett has emotional and physical scars on him and inside him so which she can relate to because she has the same broken spirit. Between the two of them they learn how to trust each other and in turn heal each other!! This is a beautiful love story that you have to read!! Totally a stand alone book but you can appreciate it more if you read the whole series!! Can't wait for the next book in this series!! Time for the other Lawson brothers to get their HEA!!
