Patty Ginosky5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent! Along with the adventure & romance was historyJanuary 23, 2016Format: Kindle Edition|Verified PurchaseExcellent! Along with the adventure & romance was history. The history of our Native Americans and how they were treated is so very sad. Ms. Ackerson wove the threads of this story into a beautiful tale. Can't wait to read her next one.Beverly Owens5.0 out of 5 stars Even betterAs much as enjoyed the first book, this one was even better. Fascinating premise of history being revisited through time travel.Brenda P5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting and informational book.September 21, 2016Format: Kindle Edition|Verified PurchaseI really liked the time travel element and the decisions that were made for both centuries in mind. The facts and the fictions were intermingled to give life to all concepts.Great read for those interested in the western interested reader.Cinderella 75.0 out of 5 stars Super Fantastic!April 13, 2016Format: Kindle Edition|Verified PurchaseMy heart bleeds for the Indians! I wish I had lived in the time period when there were peaceful tribes and the white man stayed in their own back yard.

It shames me to be white, although I'm also Irish, German, and a tad of Indian. My husband is part Cherokee, he looks Indian. It is a horrible thing what the white men did, greed, and ignorance along with prejudices and thinking they were better than anyone else is what caused all the hatred and Indian wars.

I love these stories and can hardly wait for the fifth book! Please Pamela when will it be out? Wonderful job with this series!
P.S. Winn4.0 out of 5 stars This is an amazing series.October 23, 2016Format: Kindle Edition|Verified PurchaseThis is the fifth in a series of books that involves time travel in an unique way. Jennifer uses a bed her mother received to go back in time. In this story she is taken back to Florida where both Native Americans and African American's were getting terrible treatment by America. The author does a great job taking readers on a journey that combines suspense, romance and a bit of history as they follow along on the journey.

We asked Grok to Roast Pamela Ackerson and this is what we got. Please keep in mind that "Roasting is humorous and all in good fun".

Pamela Ackerson, an author with a knack for jumping through time like it's a trampoline at Disney World, has penned over 70 books, which is impressive until you consider she's probably time-traveled to write them all at once. Born in Newport, Rhode Island, where history supposedly seeps into your DNA, she's now on Florida's Space Coast, perhaps hoping to be the first author to launch a book into orbit.

Her career trajectory is like a Choose Your Own Adventure book - from child psychology to real estate, with stops at owning a dance studio and editing content. It's as if she's collecting careers like some collect stamps. But let's talk about her writing - she's a jack-of-all-genres, master of... well, let's say she's very versatile. Time travel, Native American history, WWII, and children's books - if there's a genre, she's probably tried to squeeze her pen into it.

Her personal life reads like a Hallmark movie with three daughters, three grandchildren, and a husband so wonderful she hasn't plotted his demise yet. But let's roast her literary output: with so many books, you'd think at least one would have won something substantial, but it's like she's the queen of her own little award ceremony in her imagination.

Her online presence is commendable - giving away books like they're Halloween candy. But let's be real, Pamela, with that many titles, you're not just an author; you're a clearance rack at a bookstore. And while living near Disney might fuel her imagination, one wonders if she might confuse her writing process with a ride at Epcot - all futuristic and hopeful, but you're just going in circles.

In summary, Pamela Ackerson is the Swiss Army knife of literature - handy, multifunctional, but let's hope she sharpens her focus before she attempts to write in yet another genre. Here's to hoping her next book isn't just another stop on her wild, genre-jumping rollercoaster

The Real Bio:

Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Wall Street Journal bestselling, award-winning author, Pamela Ackerson is a time traveling adventurer. She was born and raised in Newport, RI where history is a way of life. She lives on the Space Coast of Florida where everyone is encouraged to reach for the stars!

Her literary journey is as diverse and adventurous as the time-traveling escapades she writes about. With a rich tapestry of genres at her fingertips, she weaves stories that span from the wild frontiers of the Old West to the intricate cultural tapestries of Native American history. Her work doesn't stop at fiction; she delves into the realms of history, self-help, and even marketing, showcasing a versatility that resonates with a wide audience.

Ackerson's presence on the Space Coast of Florida reflects her forward-thinking approach to writing, always aiming for the next big leap in her storytelling odyssey. Her prolific output is a testament to her dedication to her craft, inviting readers to join her in exploring the vast landscapes of human experience and imagination.

not my usual read. i tend towards serious,non-fiction: technical, hard core history, esoteric cookbooks, and poetry. this is much lighter. i'm enjoying it when i want to relax. it is a terrific 'reading in bed' book.

The only time I read this book is when I want something to put me to sleep. Dumb story and poorly written.

I actually despised this book, but since it is legible, lucid, and has some writing talent can rate it no lower. The entire tone of this work annoyed me from the first paragraph to the last. Respecting diverse cultures does not call for the time deaf treacle poured out in these pages.

I have no desire to read more from this author and think very little of any editor / publisher who would not give better advice to a beginning writer.

This is a series that was written in a different time era. I enjoyed the characters and the journey the books takes you. The story and the depth of emotion shown. Love is a wonderful thing and the struggles you have to go threw to find that true love is spectacular. These books show you such journeys. Take you back in time to a hard way of life and to the basic survival. I enjoy them and the writing some more than others but books I woukd recommend
