A strong woman living the Rockstar life and a strong man living the small town life have a strong attraction to each other. Lacey Sheridan has rented a cottage and a studio to write and record her next album. Flynn Beckett is the landlord who lives next door. He also owns the studio, plumbing business, and is a volunteer firefighter. Lacey, not knowing any of these things, hits on him at the local bar. She is rebuffed so imagine her surprise when she calls a plumber and Flynn shows up!

After a lot of hot flirting they finally get together and fireworks fly. However, there is danger lurking. The danger is in the form of a lecherous ex-con who is fixated on Lacey's friend, Annie Logan-Wade, who comes to lend her talents to Lacey. The clock is ticking as the danger looms closer. Can Flynn protect Lacey in time?

A really nice change from the weak woman/strong man story. I recommend! It is best to read Sheet Music first, the story of Annie and her soul mate, Michael.

I choose this rating because the book was awesome. The characters were detailed and relatable. I like the fact that the plot did not take over the whole story. There were re.lationship aspects of the characters that I admired and some I just wanted to yell at them for being stupid. I would totally recommend the book especially since the author stayed true to her writing and the characters.
