I gave this book a 5 because the story line was easy to follow and it was well written. I don't care for books that have the juvenile storyline of I love him, but he doesn't love me and I can't tell him unless he tells me first. Here everything is laid on the line. Also Ms. Brown strayed for a while with a lot of cussing in some of her books.. Not so with this one. I almost gave it a 4 because she annoyingly tells the reader what song is playing on the jukebox, who is singing and what he's singing about, over and over again. But the story was quite good so I cut her some slack. I would recommend this book to Carolyn Brown fans and others who want to try her books.
