Seven years ago Lily and Henry got "married"! Since then Lily has been hopelessly in love with her "husband" only he has become a rake! Even now he has insisted that his sister invite another woman to Hadley Court for her party. Will Lily finally realize that he doesn't feel the same for her any longer? Or will he finally come around? Tammy L. Bailey has done an amazing job of writing this story.

This was a lovely story of enduring love through the years. Lily and Henry had their struggles, but Henry's Sister Jane was determined to make all well between her brother and best friend. First book I have read by this author and will definitely read more. Well worth a read. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This book was a sweet read, I enjoyed reading it and will probably read it again even though it is ot one of those books that kept me hooked ot my reader. I read it and I didn't put it aside but there was something about the characters that made me want for more. More time with them, more about them.
The hero and the heroine both remember very well that there was "something" when they were younger, one of them doesn't know what happened to tear them apart. When those two meet again at a house party, will those remnant sparks, that seems to light up every time they meet, be enough for them to find their way back to each other?

A simple but heart-warming story with very likeable characters - I liked it.

I don't know why the label "sensual" is given to this story. I was afraid it would be too explicit in love scenes and almost decided not to try it. However, the story is sweet regarding Lily and Henry. There is little explicit description of love making.
Lily and Henry are interesting people. Lily has been in love with Henry since she was 14 and her friend "married" them in play. There are impediments to their being together that have kept them apart for over seven years. Lily and Henry find their feelings overwhelming their good sense. This is an interesting premise and the book was likeable. Enjoy!!

Seven years before two people claimed there love for each other. Lily kept her vows close to her heart. Over the years Henry travels from one women to the next holding a secret . They meet up at a party thrown by his sister unbeknownst to them she planned to bring both parties together again by any means and with the help of her brothers friend they plot how to make lily's dream come true. There are many twists to the story one being lily had been betrothed to another by her father. But romance again develops into true love and with manipulation by all concerned they once again come together never to part. Not really my kind of story as it's dated on historical society. But I did like the storyline.
