I’ve reached my destination and I must say that the Washington territory is not what I expected, neither is my new husband for that matter. His family is huge, loud and boisterous! A woman come ps into her office looking for employment. She tells the young woman she keeps in touch with her brides and family’s. She then tells the young woman about Ebba from Sweden who suffers from allergies sneezing and watery eyes. She travels to a place called No Where. She is shocked to learn that Daniel has a very large family.

I truly enjoyed reading this story! Wonderful tale. Best part no adult content.

Finally, a book overflowing with enough humor to reach my Irish funny bone! The author sets the curiosity hook deep right at the beginning by planting this mysterious question: What on earth did matchmaker Mrs. Pettigrew secretly add to the end of mail order bride Ebba Knudson's letter of introduction? Husband-to-be Daniel Weaver never got far enough to read the whole missive before it was stolen by the nasty town gossip in Nowhere, Washington. Even with the best intentions, neither the prospective husband nor the prospective wife are forthcoming which leads to a crisis of trust. Ebba suffers with severe allergies to the point she can scarcely venture outdoors. Daniel has not divulged he lives on a ranch with a boisterous army of at least two dozen relatives who are reproducing like rabbits. Why are the townsfolk of Nowhere acting so strangely about Poor Ebba? Having read at least 300 western romances, I could easily tell this was not author Kit Morgan's first rodeo because it could have been boring working with just 3 venues: Denver, Nowhere and the Weaver ranch, but it was anything but that. What a heart-warmer, full of sight gags, scandalous gossip and sweet family love.

What an absolute charm this book is! Told as a recounting, this is the tale of yet another "Nowhere" in the Washington Territory, and it's welcome, or lack thereof, mail order bride. Ebba finds herself alone in the world, having lost both her parents in the past year, and the rest of her family five years ago to the dreaded influenza. Not having many options, she decides to try her luck as a mail order bride, enlisting the help of the highly recommended Mrs. Pettigrew, a well known matchmaker. Her only other option was to remain in the employ of a nasty woman, washing laundry. Little did she know just how much the esteemed Mrs. Pettigrew was going to help, or hinder, her, as she makes her way to Washington Territory to marry a stranger. With many misgivings, she finally arrives in Nowhere, only to find herself wracked with even more questions, and even less answers. But not everyone welcomes her to town with open arms, as one woman in particular seems to have taken it upon herself to make her life miserable. But her anxiety lessens a bit upon realizing that the most handsome man she has ever met is her intended. But life is and will never be easy on the Weaver homestead. Only question is...will she survive?
A wonderful story that continues with the Mail order bride series of Nowhere. Well worth the read.

This Mail Order Bride Ink series has been going for a few years now, but I have only just gotten around to reading the first book and I loved it. Anyone who is familiar with Kit Morgan's books will have heard of the Weaver family whose stories of Arlan, Benjamin and Calvin Weaver can be found in her Holiday Mail Order Bride series. This story features the fourth brother, Daniel and his mail order bride Ebba.

This book is a classic Kit Morgan story full of humour and love and misunderstandings which cause no end of trouble to Daniel and Ebba and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I don't read plain romances often, but when I want to take a break from long, heavier books and read a good romance, this is one of the main authors I turn to.
Ms. Morgan's stories are always well written, with real characters you always want to get to know.
The love is sincere, and the passion described at just the right amount of modesty. No cookie-cutter, pornographic sex scenes, thank God! (Those unrealistic detailed descriptions get very old. Don't worry, for those of you who like those sorts of descriptions - there are an overabundance of books that cater to your tastes.)

Ebba, the Swedish mail order bride destined for Daniel Weaver, becomes the victim of malicious gossip, even before she arrives. That isn't the only thing that she's facing. Coming from a more sedate family background, she is thrown into a huge, boisterous clan of a family. Overwhelmed is putting it lightly. And Ebba's severe hay fever doesn't help.
It is so easy to identify with all the confusing emotions - the fears, the anxieties, the hopes, and the disappointments Ebba is going through. And of course, your heart melts as Ebba's intended, Daniel, works his way through helping his new bride.
I think the wisdom quoted towards the end is great and would like to add a piece from the same source: "to the pure, all things are pure."
After a long book, heavy with drama, murder, or politics, "Dear Mr. Weaver" is a delightful, light read with a happy ending. You can always depend on Ms. Morgan to deliver a good story!

I rate this book PG, only because some parents might not want to explain the term "whore" to a daughter.

I recommend this book.
