These Masterson books are just golden! This one is steamy and naughty and so good as Roman and Elizabeth navigate building a relationship together - around their hostile and complicated families. Roman has history and doesn’t do seconds so he has a lot to learn while Elizabeth is trying to be independent,
not so easy with this alpha on her tail.

It’s funny, sassy, warm, even tender and a great read. LLB is particularly good at building momentum as the story flows along. The internal thoughts of her male characters are authentic. Roman’s voice is distinctive – yes, he is divine, but he has a hiding mantoddler who comes out at times. I’ll read all of this series - and all LLB’s books because they are such fun 🥰 Highly recommended!

I loved the first book but I love the second one even more! So book One left me with a cliffhanger, wondering how serious Elizabeth's troubles were in the Bahamas but as Roman decided to go after her, I felt that she was in good hands. Or was she? No man would most likely risk keeping the trip a secret from his boss/dad so I saw a lot of potential in this relationship. There was the confrontation with Ethan which Elizabeth was surprised with but had given her a bit of a closure. I love it when Roman gets all caveman. Further into the story, I can tell he gets more comfortable with the boyfriend status. Only Elizabeth had a problem with that - with the social stigma of "incestuous" relationships between cousins by marriage. One can't fault her with her fear of backlash from her family and friends. After all, her father has been stubbornly intolerant of his sister's marriage to Joseph, Roman's father and they weren't even related. Roman Masterson has a strange way of expressing his affections and Elizabeth is too pig-headed to accept it for what it really was. She has changed him a lot. I like it when he starts to recognize that Elizabeth is good for him and makes his happy. He starts to peel off the layers and a more sensitive, caring and adorable side of this gruff alpha male is exposed. All hell breaks loose on Elizabeth's birthday dinner when all is revealed. There was also a bonus reveal on Ethan. This installment was a bit more light-hearted than the first and the banter more enjoyable as Elizabeth gradually becomes more comfortable with her relationship with Roman. I like that the author has given some spotlight briefly to some characters to show how they fit into the hero and heroine's lives. I want to have an Aunt Juliette. One can't also help but cheer on Roman, with his mommy issues and all, when he starts showing the swoon-worthy side of him. Elizabeth thinks he is a big baby but should give him more credit.

Overall, I enjoyed this 2-part series which was my weekend read and I have downloaded the third part as I wanted to see more of Elizabeth and Roman.

This book and some of the others end in a cliff hanger but don’t worry the books are all out so head straight to the next one! You can’t help but love Roman and the journey they go on. I review everything - restaurants, hotels, everywhere I visit and every merchant with which I have an experience. But I generally do NOT review indie authors because I have found them to be extremely sensitive to feedback that is not 100% positive, so I usually refrain from saying anything at all, be it positive or negative. But I just couldn't shut my mouth with this one. I read Cousins Book 1 a week ago because I was bored and my favourite author has nothing coming out for a few more weeks. Based on the reviews, I decided to give it a shot and I'm happy I did. So happy, in fact, that I got up at 12:15 am on Cousins 2 release date and downloaded that mother to my Kindle so I could get started. Then I stayed up for the next 3 1/2 hours and read it ALL before going back to bed and dreaming about loveable Elizabeth and hot as hell Roman. I generally do not dream about books I read so when I got up this morning, I knew I had to get on here and say something.

This couple is sweet...and hot as hell! The sex scenes were scorching and the sweet moments were well done. Roman is a real alpha male so he does sweet in his own inimitable style, which I loved. Real alpha male means that he didn't hem and haw about what he wanted once he made up his mind - he went in there and got that and took care of his woman...always and in every way. And Elizabeth could not resist him and had eyes for no one else once she laid eyes on him, which is how I like my romances. I think the pacing of the story was great; the secondary characters were great too but did not take the spotlight from the h and H (and I look forward to possibly hearing more about them in books to come); and there was no overly angsty drama - "I'm worthy, I'm not worthy, I'm worthy, I'm not worthy..." Ugh! Also, I like that there was no real suspense in this book, it was straight up romance, with the h and H working out how they were going to be together. Most romance authors seem to be writing nothing but suspense these days so this is a welcome break from the crowd. However, don't take that to mean it's vanilla because it surely is not! Also, there were no shifters and darkness to go with the no gunshots and I loved that too! Finally, both books were pretty well edited, with only a few minor errors that the editor seems to have missed - and this is great to see in the indie world, too. I will surely be buying Lisa Lang Blakeney again if she continues to write alpha romances this way. Excellent job, lady!.

This was a very well written wrap up for this couple with all attitude and bossiness that we’ve come to expect from both parties. This story goes through the trials and tribulations of being a young couple, new parents and careers while remaining hot and still having twists and turns to keep you engaged.

This is a very well-written book and keeps you glued to the pages to the very end. I really enjoyed it and literally could not put it down I needed to finish it all at once. The story picks up right where the author left off in the last book. Roman is on a mission to find Elizabeth in the Bahamas where he also knows that her ex is. Elizabeth is struggling with the idea of being attracted to her cousin and runs from him right after a sexual encounter at Roman's house, later she goes off to pursue funding for her new business.The chemistry between Roman and Elizabeth was a time bomb ready to explode. Roman Materson is a true-alpha male with extreme possessiveness and sometimes over the top controlling with Elizabeth. At times, it appears that Elizabeth was a doormat when Roman was angry with her. I loved it when he walks into the hotel room and punch the s**t out of Ethan. I felt it was well overdue and well deserved. The story was full of humorous and relationship struggles truly realistic in today's lifestyle. I love the characters and how everyone came together because this wasn't just an easy love story, although I didn't care for Joseph and his altitude toward his own son. I think that Glamazon was overly jealous and a huge trouble maker in Elzabeth's life. I can definitely see more of the other characters having their own book because of not having an HEA but HFN ending and I will be looking forward to reading more....

PS: I think Roman's mother whereabouts should have been revealed for closure to his demons!!!!!!!

This is the second book in the Fixer series and the second book dealing Elizabeth and Roman. I am usually not a big fan of cliffhangers but I have to say this one is well written. These two character have lots of problems. The one that I grew to hate was when everyone kept calling them cousins. They are blood related. This isn't a quick easy read. This one is worth reading and worth your time. This one is well written. I did like some of the secondary characters and I can't wait to see their stories!!!
