Lorana Hoopes is the USA Today best-selling author of over forty books and counting. She's originally from Texas which shows as most of her books are set in the great state. As the saying goes, "You can take the girl out of Texas, but you can't take Texas out of the girl."

Lorana began writing at an early age, but it wasn't until a few years ago that she began publishing. Now, it seems she can't get the stories out fast enough. In addition to writing, she also records and produces her own audiobooks as well as audiobooks for other clean authors. Her background in theater and as a radio DJ certainly help in that area.

Though she hopes to retire soon and write full time, Lorana is still a part-time English teacher as well as a full-time mom. She has three children who are the characters in her Wishing Stone early reader chapter books and voice their parts in the audiobooks 2-5.

When not writing, Lorana can generally be found in her kickboxing gym. You can follow her on Instagram @authorloranahoopes to see her motivational posts. I know, you think, yes-another cinderella type story! But this one is done well. It helps that the "Cinderella" isn't really looking for a guy in her life. Yes, it does have nasty people in it too, who try to derail the whole romance. But love and God win in the end. I enjoyed it.

Engaging story, enjoyable characters and a fast easy read. My preference though is for a heroine without rock bottom self esteem and a wounded soul who shows some character and grace apart from reflecting the hero's adoration. Her valued contribution as a teacher could have added depth as her tragic past should not be her only identity. However many readers likely to enjoy this book.

This is the first time I've read a book by this author but it won't be the last. If you like clean, no bad language and well written story lines, you will enjoy this book. This book was full of betrayal, and class snobbery. But it was also full of hope, love and forgiveness. I enjoyed reading it and hope others do as well.

I really enjoy Lorana Hoopes writing and this book is no exception. This one is a Cinderella type story from the very beginning. The story of a teacher who grew up in a Foster Home and a privileged billionaire who didn’t realize what he was missing in life, from everyday experiences to faith. Wonderful, heartwarming story. Good to see faith incorporated in the plot.

Gwen masquerades as her friend, Callie, so the Callie can do something else -- she meets a mysterious man -- then is enjoying the party when she sees someone and jumps up and quickly leaves. Drew has to find her and the story starts with a bang. It is full of surprises, accidents, and intrigue. It will keep you reading one or two more pages and then you will suddenly be at the end. Like a lot of Lorana Hoopes' books I would love a sequel to this telling the next portion of their life.
