OMGosh Good! I can’t believe that Linnea is a Debut Author! Thank you to my friend Cass for recommending it to me!
In a world where the characters and backstory in this book are very real, Linnea Valle did an awesome job of telling the story and keeping it real. The reader will need a box of tissues and in some instances a drink and cigarette as well!
Emma her twin brother Eddie and best friend Zach are in separable and have been since they were small children. The book tells the story of their growth through high school , the challenge and experience of finding first love, the separation of change and each other for the first time ever when Emma goes off to college, and Eddie and Zach join the military and are assigned an early deployment to Afghanistan. Brilliantly told, the author didn’t miss a step in exploring Emma and Zach’s change from near siblings to first and forever loves. She also seemed intimately acquainted with the loss and grief and recovery steps of an injured soldier and his fightbto find his way back home . This is one of the best books that I have ever read.

What a wonderful debut book from this author! I loved the characters, though Zach does show his immaturity with how he initially acts towards Emma. There's a real rollercoaster of emotions, and at one point I was really sobbing. I enjoyed the story and the directions it took, as we learnt about the twins Emma and Eddie, and their close friend Zach, from childhood through growing up into young adults.
A great book dealing with love, and loss, and the affects of PTSD.

Love love love this book Linnea did a wonderful job!
I am so proud of her. I know her personally and have known her for years and she has been wanting to do this for years. And to finally sit down and write his book and to have it published WOW.
If your looking for a fun but intense book to read this is the one. Once I finally picked it up and started reading it I couldn’t put the book down. Although I do have to say in certain section’s I was in tears. But that’s because Linnea wrote this and explained it so well.

Oh where do I start with this book? I absolutely loved everything about it. A love story with all the feels, I couldn’t put it down...to the point that I was nearly late for work!
A story of love, loss, friendship and hope, this story has it all and the writing is beautiful. For a debut novel I think the author has done a wonderful job and I can’t wait to read more of her work.
