MEMBER OF THE PARANORMAL ROMANCE REVIEW TEAM
We first met Alec Ransom and Dylan Donohue in the Starlight series but now they have their own story, not part of the original series but none the less wonderful.
Alec in PR and Dylan part owner of the Valedictoria Theatre (Val) have very busy schedules leaving them less and less time for each other but whenever they do get together they show each other how nothing but love. Now living together they have to learn how to deal with the pressures of work and leaving enough time for themselves. When something that has meant the world to Dylan is about to be taken from him he faces a crisis but it is Alec that is there to comfort him.
In addition to enjoying the time we get to spend watching these two men show their love for each other, and of course there is a lot of sex, we also get to catch up with other characters we met in the Starlight series which I totally enjoyed, especially Bennett, Dylan’s partner in the theatre and his fiance Cassie.
Another beautiful love story by Ms. Mac Nicol and I look forward to more since in this day and age love is so very important no matter whether between heterosexuals or homosexuals.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2022This book is a great short story to read. Both Dylan who co owns the Valedictorian Theater (the Val) with Bennett, and Alec who is PR to the stars finally have their own story. This book is about the relationship ups and down of Alec and Dylan. Both men are very busy with their work and trying to find time for a realationship with one another is hard but they make it work. Will Dylan find the love and support he needs from Alec??.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2020Promises Kept is a sexy novella . I liked it.
Note: Even though this story is promoted as a standalone ; it is also the spinoff of The Starlight (MF) series and because I did not read it; at times, it felt I was missing some background information. With that said, I was entertained with all the hot AF intimate times.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2020This was a interesting read. I enjoyed the novella of Alec and Dylans busy life’s but think this should be read after the series. I haven’t read the series so felt like I was missing the big picture. Loved the characters are there love for each other even when things got ruff. I will be reading the series and coming back again Because I think things will look different from that point of view.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2020More a series of scenes than a novel, this book details the relationship of Alec and Dylan, two men intensely in love, but both with intense careers. The book is laced with humor as they work toward a destination wedding for a close friend and his fiancée. There are lots of Gaelic phrases scattered throughout, so I used google translate liberally.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 20183.5 starts. An okay short novella.
This novella is after thought from Starlight series which I hadn't read. So I'm reading this as a standalone. This includes 9 chapters of Dylan and Alec's busy life. I really dont know how to review this one, I suppose each chapter is a little story in itself for a novella. I didn't get a feel for them as a couple and included are a lot sexy scenes. This has little Irish endearments they say to each other which i wasn't sure about what they meant. The ending was okay.
Dylan and Alec have a busy life but there happily together. An upheaval event in Dylan's life puts him in a spin but that's only a small portion.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2020From the dramatic opening chapter to the last chapter, Alex and Dylan are hysterical. Their roller coaster relationship is so what anyone and everyone experience. Of course, Dylan is a little extreme, but he is so lovable, he's easily forgiven. The dialogue, the actions, the events and how Alec or Dylan handle every situation is totally entertaining. The clients and friends fit and I absolutely adore Bennett, Dylan's best friend. This is a story that I will delight in reading over and over. Well done! Ms Nicol did a fantastic job wit this story. I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
