Amazon best-selling author, Barbara Goss, is married and lives in Western New York and to date has written 50 Christian/Clean Romance books, mostly westerns. She enjoys crossword puzzles, reading, swimming, and her feline writing helper, Molly, but not necessarily in that order. Barbara began writing in 1988 and her first book, Forbidden Legacy, won first prize for fiction at a Christian Writers Convention in Titusville, Florida in 1989. This won her a book contract with Publishers: Fleming Revell and later Baker Books. She wrote four books for them under contract. She then took a few years off to work full time as a secretary to the county hospital and the local school system.

Barbara’s greatest influence in writing is the 100 books written by Grace Livingston Hill. As a Christian writer, Barbara weaves some godliness into the romance and adventure yet her books are always clean. Barbara is well on her way to catching up with Ms. Livingston.

Travis is a rancher who. Has written for a mail order bride who never appears. At the same time Lydia is teaching Bible in an orphanage and wants to adopt one of the little girls but cannot since she is unmarried. She consents to marriage by proxy with Travis. Travis goes to Denver to meet Lydia but is accidentally shot and also has a concussion which leaves him with no short-term memory. He is hospitalized and, even though Lydia is summoned to nurse him, she does not know him.

This was a heartwarming book, that I really enjoyed. Travis agrees to a proxy marriage with Lydia, in order for her to adopt a young orphan. He never plans on meeting her, but sometimes plans change. I enjoyed the numerous twists this book takes. It's a well written book that I think you will like, if you like historical western romance.

Travis never expected to fall in love but I am glad he is a man that fights for those he loves and he never tires of telling them just how much he loves them, how can you resist falling for him?
Lydia knows just how quickly life can change, happy becomes heartbroken, good becomes bad but she is determined to be brave and grasp her chance at happiness with Travis. Her bravery wavers when she is faced with the first test of their love, but Travis shows her just how strong love is and proves they should be together.
A sweet historical romance which I read on Kindle Unlimited.

Four stars, too cute!. Yes,it's a Christian storyline and very obvious how it goes. Lydia marries Travis by proxy in order to adopt her daughter Molly. But Travis mail order bride Myra finally shows up. But Travis had been shot and has very little memory. But having met Lydia and Molly, Travis thinks their marriage is real. It does get sorted out at the end.

I have enjoyed The Proxy Brides series so much! Barbara Goss has written another wonderful story in this series. I have read most of Barbara’s books and loved each one. She writes clean stories so if your looking for sexy scenes and curse words you won’t find them in her books. Her books are well written and she always tells a great story. I highly recommend this book. You won’t be disappointed.
