The Impossible Governess : An Historical Regency Romance (Misfits of the Ton) Kindle Edition
Forced to earn her way in the world, Georgeanne is on her third employer in four months as her good looks and aristocratic upbringing make it near impossible for her to maintain a position. Her last hope is governess to Lord Raynor's five year old niece, a sullen and tantrum prone orphan. Now, other than talking back to her aristocratic employer, Georgeanne biggest challenge is not losing her heart to him.
Lord Raynor is amazed by the new governess’s success to control his troubled niece. Yet, no servant has ever tried his patience more. He finds the governess a most tempting morsel even as he's sorely tried not to wring Georgeanne's pretty little neck for her antics.
A clean, humorous, Regency romance with witty dialogue, mischief and happily ever after.

About the author

As an avid reader, I became a fan of Georgette Heyer's Regency novels, then started writing Regency romance novels as a hobby. I particularly enjoy writing about strong, resourceful women in an age where it was thought that women were incapable of taking care of themselves and couldn't own property.
Kindle e-books have allowed me to grow as a writer. With each novel, I have made mistakes, but I have learned so much along the way. I like to read reviews from my readers and am thankful that they take the time to critique my work.
I am currently retired in beautiful Port Royal, SC, with my husband and our dog Sally, happily working away on my next novel.

Gut zu lesen, und nicht so seicht wie die Romane dieser Art sonst so sind.

I would classify this as a romp. This is not your typical governess and that's the point. She's pretty feisty and a lot of fun. The hero is grouchy. He's trying to find his way through the new normal of grief and loss.
The little girl is cute. I thought she was won over a little too quickly but it doesn't matter. She's cute and a little sassy but too much.
The secondary characters were well drawn, I thought. The other woman is mean but our heroine has this. Based on her dealing with her employer you have no doubt she'll be ok.
