I'm many things--a wife, a mother, a grandmama. Equally, I enjoy writing and publishing. It's a busy life! These keep me hopping with a huge smile on my face.

While I didn't teach history, it's always been a passion of mine. (I am a retired English teacher.) It is little wonder that so many of my romances are historical stories. I want to recreate that life and time period for my readers.

I often focus on my home state of Wisconsin. Growing up, I loved hearing stories about my family homesteading in that state. Those stories, in part, are what inspired me to begin writing.

With a bit of mystery this is a love story. Hart has been in love with the heroine, Zetty, for a long time. Zetty lives with the mean maam who rarely lets her out of her sight and has convinced her that she is worthless. Then two skeletons appear in a lake. Who are they and how did they get there? Hart tries to protect Zetty and wants to marry her. That is the essence of the remainder of this book. A good read.

Zelly's mother is always making her believe she is worthless. Hart has loved Zelly for 5 years but knows he needs to go slow with her because she does not see her worth. A bully is bothering Zelly and Hart tries to protect her but he cannot be with her all the time. With the help of Hart's aunt, he has her working for his aunt and uncle. While this is a new author, she handles the couple and the bullying very well.
