Unofficial Detective (Half-Wizard Thordric Book 1) Kindle Edition
For his whole life, Thordric has been told that his magic is dangerous, and that he must never use it. All over Dinia, half-wizards are treated the same, their magic labelled as dangerous and uncontrollable.
When High Wizard Kalljard dies under mysterious circumstances, it falls to young Thordric to solve the case. The problem? The deed was done by magic, and though Thordric is a half-wizard, he has never fully used his powers.
To prove himself right and find the person responsible, Thordric has to learn how to control his own powers. But can he learn fast enough, and find the perpetrator in time?

About the author

Kathryn Wells is a pen name of writer Kathryn Rossati.
As a child, she found her passion for the written word, and even though she had many other interests growing up, writing was always the one she would return to. Her stories are often laugh out loud funny, with plenty of magic and as many whimsical touches as possible, but if you look closely, darkness often lurks between the lines. She loves conjuring up fantastical worlds and unlikely characters, and when she's not busy writing fiction, she can be found crafting poetry and having her ear talked off by her parrot.
Kathryn is also autistic and ADHD, and enjoys helping other neurodivergent people find their creativity.
Her favourite authors are Diana Wynne Jones, Suzanne Collins, Jonathan Stroud, Neil Gaiman, Garth Nix, J. K, Rowling and David Eddings, to name but a few.
