Lady Justice and the Bad Seed Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 97 ratings

Walt is surprised to learn that his old partner, Ox, has a brother. Ox had never mentioned Lenny who was serving time in prison. Ox was just as surprised when Lenny showed up at his door claiming he had found religion and turned his life around. He was even more surprised to learn that his brother, the bad seed of the family, was now an ordained minister. As Lenny’s ministry grows by leaps and bounds, Walt and his friends are skeptical. Was Lenny’s conversion real or is it an elaborate con? Walt is faced with the age-old question --- can people really change? What do you think?

These books are stand alone, but I have read a bunch of them already, in no particular order, and they are just great. Some humorous group of characters, with always Walt to get into trouble, and himself or his friends or both, getting him out again. Great read.

Being in your seventh decade does not mean you hang around and eat junk food all day, just check out these two pals who still have what it takes to pull a sting on a drug dealer and prevent murder and in this case, two murders....of the same guy! No foul language, but some real funny asides like the old lady with a fish bowl on her electronic piano. It's a fast read with the main character being an ex con who says he found the Lord..( sounds familiar). Oh, and the ex con Is the brother of another of our main characters ( who was,a cop). Robert Thornhill ,our author, says he takes stories from his life and adds a little embellishment. If such is the case, Bob must lead an interesting life.
There are many Lady Justice titles available...if they are all equal to this story I look forward to reading more of the series.

You can read what the book is about on the page where you acquire the book. I'm going to review this in my own way. I have never read one of Robert Thornhill's books that I would not recommend to a friend. They are always interesting, he doesn't write 'filler' in his stories, you get a story then the ending, which is how I enjoy my books. I haven't read all his books, but I am working on them, and will eventually get all of them. Unlike a lot of authors, he is prolific in his writing. Keep it up

Its great to sit with the gang again and talk about family escapades. This series has been a favorite of mine. Plenty of action but little gore and outright violence. Tho not as old as Walt and Kevin and Maggie I was am old enough to see changes in my life as the years pass. How refreshing to see senior citizens find purpose and worth in their golden years. Every single book has had a message, but it's a message that everyone who reads it can say they benefited from. I can honestly say I love these books and this author rocks!
