Victoria Ashley grew up in Illinois and has had a passion for reading for as long as she can remember. After finding a reading app where it allowed readers to upload their own stories, she gave it a shot and writing became her passion.
She lives for a good romance book with bad boys that are just highly misunderstood. When she's not reading or writing about bad boys, you can find her watching her favorite shows.

The minute I started reading this story, I was sucked in❣️Not only was this story compelling and complex, it was also filled with despair, hope, love and loss. Dakota, Quinn and Roman are siblings and Easton is added to the equation when him and Roman become best friends. Years later he disappears after a major loss to their family and shows up out of the blue, three years later. To say that the coupling between Dakota and Easton is easy is a massive understatement as the complexities of their emotions start to unravel as soon as they know they are in the vicinity of each other.
However, in order to be together they are going to have to fight everything they’ve ever known and sort out the feelings each are experiencing. A not to be missed story and I’m hoping that Victoria will do a story for Roman as I’d like to see who he ends up with😁
Dakota knew she was keeping up pretending she didn’t want Easton, she craved to touch him, they were having fun, then he changed it. Working with him is harder than she thought, bringing up the memories of when he left. But something shifts between them she knows she doesn’t have the right to touch him.
‘Don’t be sorry for touching me or wanting to touch me. Ever.’ – Easton
Things get tense and Dakota runs only for Easton to catch her not happy with what she did.
‘I can’t $ucking lose you. Not ever. Do you understand that?’ – Easton.
Keeping her promise to clean his truck, suddenly turns with Easton telling her to get her hatred for him out, she wants him, him being there makes it hard, before he crushes his mouth to hers.
Dakota knew it was a mistake it can’t happen again, he wasn’t hers, but Easton says maybe things can be different now, it doesn’t have to be a mistake.
Easton knows it wasn’t a mistake he can’t pretend anymore. He’s going to push until she’s tired of pushing him away. What happens when Dakota gets a push she doesn’t see coming and Easton tells the truth why he left years ago.

🇺🇸 So many emotions while reading this second Chance romance. Easton and Dakota are in love since the beginning, but then life and obstacles happen.
There’s lots of anguish and guilt present during their journey and it’s possible to empathize with them in an absolute way. Also, when they feel happy, is impossible not to experience it.
I didn’t love the fact that Easton sometimes just went with the circumstances and not clarifying the situations. I mean, six years with someone you are not in love with? 🤦🏻♀️
Also, why naming a baby after the source of your guilt and anguish? Seriously…
Roman is lovely and I would love to read his story with Hope!
