About the author

Ron Glick (born January 20, 1969) is a community activist, and has been active in several charitable enterprises. He was born in Plainville, KS. After living in various states, he currently lives in Kalispell, MT. He is the author of The Godslayer Cycle, Chaos Rising, the Oz-Wonderland series, and Ron El's Comic Book Trivia, as well as having written a screenplay adaptation of The Wizard In Wonderland. Additionally, he created the Golden Age Preservation Project as a means of making Golden Age comics more accessible to modern audiences. His expose, U.S. Political Prisoner Since 2004, broke him away from his fictional works to shed light upon political corruption in Kalispell and Flathead County, Montana.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2015If you read the first book, enjoyed it and eager to find out what's going to happen next then you should read this book next. This book will give you some answers and some new mysteries as well.
In last book Dorothy's search for the Wizard lead her to Wonderland now further adventures will lead her to the land beyond the looking glass. Alice is assisting Glinda in Oz in stopping the Wicked Witch (or Witches) from taking over Oz. Meanwhile, nobody not even the heroes are noticing that Ozma is acting very strange in the Emerald City.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2015I loved it, especially the surprise guest star from another well known magic land.

To make this harsh winter more bearable, I had the opportunity to read the latest installment of local author Ron Glick’s crossover series between Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz. This one, titled “Dorothy Through the Looking Glass,” is a delightful second installment to the first one, “The Wizard in Wonderland” (read my review here: [...])
I have to say, I was hooked from the get-go. Take into consideration the cliffhanger in the last book, and I was eager to devour this one. Touching on a point I made in my last review, where I felt a little hesitant starting off, I was much more comfortable in this second book. I felt much more familiar with this world, so I able to enjoy the novel right from the start without having to spend any time orienting my self.
Something I’ve enjoyed about this series is the multiple points of views offered. This was expanded further in “Dorothy Through the Looking Glass” by means of having a chapter in Toto’s point of view. I’ll admit I was disappointed that only one chapter was devoted to Toto’s view point, because it was so well-written, humorous, and with just the right dose of canine candidness. It was a great way to draw in the readers attention, as this took place right in the first chapter. It really set a nice pace for the rest of the novel. And looking back now, it set up some interesting character development that clicks into the place throughout the rest of the novel.
Now, I can’t really talk about some of my favorite parts without spoiling some pretty key parts, so I will be vague in my description. This crossover holds so much potential, and I am not disappointed by the scenarios that Glick incorporates. And with the introduction of a couple characters, including a crafty cat, the plot not only thickens but becomes even more perilous for our two protagonists and the worlds they want to save. Again with a cliffhanger though! Right as I was intensely reading and all the puzzle pieces began clicking into place, I was once more led right off the edge of the cliff. Now, it is all I can do to hang on until the next part of the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2014Note: I received a free copy of the ebook in exchange for an honest review.
The story picks up right where the first book, The Wizard in Wonderland, left off. As the story commences, we learn the land of Oz and Wonderland have a shared past and both Alice and Dorothy are caught in the middle of a power struggle they never imagined. We get to see some old favorites make an appearance (I love the Cheshire Cat!) and a few twists and turns I didn’t expect.
I have to be honest as say I’ve been (impatiently) waiting for this to come out after reading the first book and it only served to fuel my craving to hear more of the story. My personal favorite is how the author writes each character true to form in a seamless blending of L. Frank Baum’s and Lewis Carroll’s styles. It’s just as impressive as the weaving of the multiple worlds throughout the book’s pages.
If you’re a fan of the classics and want to experience something new, then this could be just the thing. It’s a fast, yet thorough read that’ll keep you turning pages.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2016Dorothy through the Looking Glass picks up where the first book left off. There is a lot more plot in this book as we learn more about the history of Oz and Wonderland and the links between them. I really enjoyed this. I love the little snippets of information the author includes information from the Oz books (for example, Nick Chopper’s history and Mombi’s story). The author does a great job of bringing the worlds of Oz and Wonderland and some beloved characters (Toto, Cheshire Cat and the White Rabbit) to life. I also liked the way the completely original elements were developed such as Alice being able to grow and shrink using her mind, Dorothy visiting the world beyond the looking glass and the witch’s stories.
