Hilarious opening chapter as only JS Scott can deliver in this paranormal romance series. They each can be stand alone novel, but I suggest that since they are all a quick and fast read that you purchase the boxed set for $2.99 and read all three.
At 350 years old, Rafe Lancaster is out for a nightly run and stays out a bit too long getting caught injured, hiding from some hunters and in the sunlight threatening exposure in the woods. He shrinks his form to that of a puppy and is attempting to hide in some leaves under a bush when Zoey Hall finds him while out for a run. Seeing he is injured and still reeling from the loss of her 14 year old german shepherd, just a couple months earlier, her heart tells her to take him home and care for his wound. Readers, the conversation that takes place in her home while Zoey gets to know her "puppy" is so funny, I found myself snickering and drawing attention from those around me, especially when Zoey checks out the "puppy's wee wee" to see if she brought home a boy or girl "puppy". Rafe can't talk to Zoey, but he is trying to using his mind magic when he replies to her "tiny wee wee" comment. It is hilarious!
Zoey has experienced the loss of a sister, her fiance and her 14 year companion in the past 18 months and is torn when she brings home the puppy from the woods, but her heart will not let her not put him out. Zoey cleans the cut and lets the puppy fall asleep on her bed while she gets to work on her illustrations. When she wakes up and finds a man in her home and her puppy missing it takes some fast talking and a couple of changling actions, for Rafe to get her to settle down. It isn't long after that Rafferty Lancaster gets to the mating and Zoey is so caught up in her body's pull to him that she is beyond rational thought.

It takes Rafe's relentless effort to chip away at the wall that Zoey had built up after all her losses to allow herself to love him, but she does and finds that she has a larger heart then she ever thought possible with Rafe showing her how to love fearlessly.

A decent enough follow up to Mate of the Werewolf. I was confused as to why the werewolves couldn't be out in the sunlight and was never mentioned in the first book. The author made it sound like they held to the vampire myths about the sun. It was never explained and drew my attention away from the story line a bit. This book had potential but ended up feeling very condensed. Everything was rushed. Still an enjoyable short story.

The Dangers of Adopting a Werewolf by J.S. Scott was a great quick read. I loved reading about Rafe trying to find his mate. I loved how he met Zoey and how she took care of him. I can't wait to read more of this series and more by J.S. Scott.

Short and to the point mating. Could have been a longer book. It is like a short version or cliff notes of a good book. Finding his mate is the was the hard part but he took no time claiming her. For adult readers due to sexual content.

A young illustrator picking up the pieces of her life after a time of tragedy takes home a stray puppy only to discover he's a werewolf.

This is the second story in J.S. Scott's Changeling Encounters paranormal series. I was glad to find it much better developed than MATE OF THE WEREWOLF. There's tension from the first page as Rafe Lancaster, stays outside too long in his wolf form, is on the run from hunters. He makes himself as small as possible and hides. Zoey Hall discovers him during a walk in the woods. The tension escalates as readers wait for her to figure out what she's brought home.

The romance develops nicely. There's more of an arc to the relationship than in Scott's first story. Still, by not delving deeper into Zoey's past, the author misses an excellent opportunity to build the character.

THE DANGERS OF ADOPTING A WEREWOLF has a great premise and is an overall quick, fun read.

Another quick novella about a werewolf and his mate. Zoey finds Rafe in the woods. Rafe was a puppy hiding himself. Insta love after a couple of hours.

First of all, I love J.S. Scott's book's. Weather they're long or short .... she just knows how to bundle up a loving heartwarming story that turns up the heat! Included is a teaser of my favorite Billionaire's the Hudson's brothers, and right now you can get it at a steal of a deal!
Of course I would recommend this sweet little gem, but for adults only!
    Happy reading!

Meet the unlucky in love Illustrator Zoey Hall. Zoey had decided to move out of the city to try and recover from the last year and a half. Zoey's suffered lots of losses and had very traumatic events in her life. All Zoey really wanted was a little peace and to try and recover from her losses.
