Precious Lies (The Precious Series Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 184 ratings

Hell. That was my life.

Every waking moment, I feared what sort of abuse would be thrown my way.

I was Scarlett Adams, invisible to the world.

That is, until I learned the truth.

*This book is not for the faint of heart. It is dark and emotional. If you are sensitive to dark material, please be warned.

If you are a type of person that cries easily through movies, etc. Please have a box of tissues handy. This book is so emotionally driven and so well written that I read this book within a few hours. I could not put this book down. I cannot wait to continue to read what life has in stock for Scarlett. They fact that she has these 3 men looking after her and are patient with her as she goes through her hardship i am taken by. The next book needs to come out ASAP.

This is a Dark story and not for the faint of heart. Scarlet has suffered most of her short life she is emotionally spent and has to learn to deal with the things that has happened to her and accept her new family she didn't know about. But she's ready and is determined to be the best she can be. Looking forward to the next book.

The story line was good but the narrative was at times hard to follow. Somethings the author assumed you would understand with minimal description were things that were missed and had to be deciphered later in the book. It just wasn't clear. There were many many grammar and spelling mistakes. Enough to wonder if the book was at all edited. The author has some literary talent but needed a better editor to polish her work. The characters were good but almost zero description of any of them. Rarely were physical attributes expressed and the lack of information made several parts confusing.. The overall idea for the book was good but the lack of clarity and descriptions made it a 3star rather than a 5. Proofreaders needed!!

Yes, Scarlett has had a life of unimaginable suffering at the hands of a predator. And, if you have triggers, you should think before reading this. It gets very dark. But on the balance, we begin to see the emergence of a soul who is beginning to have hope. The story doesn’t move too fast so the reader does gets to experience an emerging healing. But there is so much more I want to know. There isn’t a big cliffhanger but you will want to know what happens next in Scarlett’s life journey.

A young girl with a heart wrenching story. There are a few editing errors but not so many that you can’t get passed them. I am looking forward to book 2 and hopefully watching the FMC grow into the person she was meant to be.

Precious Lies definitely brought out some intense emotions within its readers! Throughout the whole story you’re just wondering how exactly Scarlett is still standing after all that has happened. But Scarlett proves she’s not willing to go down easily even after lies are exposed. And with the help of a few good people she begins to realize she can stand on her own no matter what.
Those of you that can’t handle possible triggers please pay attention to them this story is not for light hearted readers and also cliffie haters beware! Lol
