NY Times and USA Today Bestselling author J.M. Madden writes compelling romances between 'combat modified' military men and the women who love them. J.M. Madden loves any and all good love stories, most particularly her own. She has two beautiful children and a husband who always keeps her on her toes.

J.M. was a Deputy Sheriff in Ohio for nine years, until hubby moved the clan to Kentucky. When not chasing the family around, she's at the computer, reading and writing, perfecting her craft. She occasionally takes breaks to feed her animal horde and is trying to control her office-supply addiction, but both tasks are uphill battles. Happily, she is writing full-time and always has several projects in the works. She also dearly loves to hear from readers! So, drop her a line. She'll respond.

Love this series, and this has been one of my favorites. The story is a check-in with a couple united in a prior book of the series, Flynn and Willow. He’s a former SEAL now with Lost and Found, and she’s a veterinarian. They have married and have an infant daughter. Every LNF book has some type of mystery involved, and this one involves dog fighting. That’s something I find deeply painful to think about and would not normally seek out as a topic in a book I’m reading for entertainment. But the topic was sensitively presented in the context of the story. There are secondary characters central to this story that were well developed and interesting. The story’s emotional ending was uplifting and brought tears to my eyes, which really doesn’t happen much to me. The book was well written, engaging, and a pleasant chance to reconnect with some wonderful characters. A nice holiday treat.

What a perfect story to add to my December Christmas Themed reading list. And to have read it on Christmas Eve was the cat's meow, or the dog's bark! But seriously, this story has all the feels for a Christmas miracle. I love the storyline and the wonderful characters.
WOW! I purchased this ebook in January 2019. What took me so long to read it?

Great characters, would love to read full length story especially Coop's story. Christmas stories are always great. More like that please!

This is a sequel to the author's Seal's Lost Dream. She has written a Christmas story that is less about a fluffy Hallmark kind of Christmas than it is about love of all kinds: the love of the Hero and heroine, love for animals, the love for their biological child and the gotcha child. In other words, a real Christmas story. I found it to be unexpected but incredibly satisfying.

Loved this story about dogs, babies, hard times, abusive parents and the biggest love between Flynn and Willow. And did I mention it all comes together on a snowy Christmas Eve? Enjoy!

I have to state that I love it when a story that was once part of an anthology is expanded upon!

We all have our "go to" authors, ones whom we feel really do their research into the subject matter in their books. This one in particular deals with PTSD and flashbacks to loss on the battlefield. Our hero Joe Flynn is written so well and in such a manner you feel as if he's someone you know. His partner, mother of his child and love of his life Willow James D.V.M. is another one of those fictional characters that you can see as being someone you could know and be friends with in real life.

The story lines of Ms. Madden's books are realistic and deal with real life situations. This book in particular deals with PTSD, domestic violence, animal abuse, drugs, and a local dog fighting ring- none of which are subjects to be taken lightly. Ms. Madden writes in such a manner that grabs your attention and brings the story to you in such a manner that you can not put it down! I read this book in one sitting and I blocked out the world! I was a sobbing mess i some parts and the ending had me crying tears of joy! I've read the story twice and It's going to be in my "read again" folder on my kindle.

Reading this hurt. It's not graphic about the bait dogs but still.... It's a feel good story and delivers. I just wish the dogs could have gotten revenge.

This novella was very enjoyable. This is the next stage in the lives of Flynn and Willow who are settling in as parents of baby Raven and become entangled with a local lad, Mateo, whose life is harsh. It is short but it is well written and very engaging. At the end of the book there is also a little story about Max and Lacey. Lacey is working Christmas and Max goes in to surprise her with an impromtu picnic. We get to meet one of her patients and there is a feel good factor to this tale. 4 star read for me
