I purchased this book as soon as it was available, having read FADE:Book One, The Ragnarok Prophecies, I was not disappointed! FALL picks up where FADE leaves you wanting more, and it delivers! FALL is faster paced, includes more Myth background, pits our heroes, Ari and Dace, against each other in a building tension and keeps you turning pages to the end! Bravo Ms. Morgen! I can't wait another year for Book Three! Please write fast! I am thrilled to,see the direction (further into the world of shapeshifting...) this novel takes the series!

Talk about a cliffhanger ending! But no spoilers here.
Fall continues right where Fade finishes; with Arionna recovering in the hospital. Dace is at Arionna's side to help her recover, but Skoll and Hati are still around.
Like book 1, this one was a little heavy on the internal dialogue for my taste. But I like that it delves deeper into Norse Mythology.
It also develops Ronan's character, which I enjoyed. He's a good old fashioned bad boy, with a hidden good guy side.
I wouldn't call this fast paced, in fact, I found the first half a bit slow, but once Arionna leaves with Ronan and Fuki, things start to really get interesting until you reach that cliffhanger ending I mentioned. I flicked the page on my kindle and thought, "No! You can't leave it like that!" It definitely leaves you needing to know what happens next.

Much like the first book, Fade, this second book is full of the emotions and feelings of the main character. So full, in fact, that I had read 47% (according to kindle) of the book before the story line advanced at all from the first book! The story was so full of her "feelings" and his "feelings" and their "feelings" that there was not room for the story to advance. I suppose, maybe, that emotion and feelings ARE the story. If that is the case then by all means buy this second book in the series...you will love it!! If, however, you have read the first book and felt that there was a tad too much of emotion in it, then get ready to double down on it here in the second book. I think the story line, beyond the over done emotions, is really good. But in this second book it is really hard to get to what I think these books should be about. Keep in mind too, that this book is pretty expensive compared to others in its class. I don't think I would advise the purchase of it at this point. I just don't think the value of the story is equal to the cost of the book. I can see that others here don't agree with me on that...but then I suppose that is what these reviews are all about.

If you have not already read Fade (The Ragnarök Prophesies #1) by A.K. Morgen, stop reading this and go read that novel. Now.

In Fall (The Ragnarök Prophesies #2), A.K. Morgen picks up right where she left off with the first book. And she does this brilliantly. Fade was great, awesome even, and set the bar for this series to be fairly high. Fall is spectacular and continues to raise the bar.

The positives: A.K. Morgen fills in more of the myth background--she really dives in. This book also covers a lot of the relationship between Arionna, Dace and their respective wolves, illuminating just how important they are to each other. Ronan's character is also explored in much more depth, which is very nice.

The negatives: Come on! What's with the cliff hanger? This book left me pining for book three. I guess that should be listed as a positive, as it is a mark of a very good book... But since the sense of pining annoyed me slightly, and it left me wanting to read book three right in the middle of my maternity leave but unable to read book three (because it's still being written and all that)... well, you get what I'm saying.

I finally got around to reading Fall, the second New Adult book in the Ragnarok Prophesies series. The first book, Fade, I read as soon as it was out in 2012 as a way of checking out books Curiosity Quills Press had already published. I wasn’t disappointed . . . read it in twenty-four hours! To be honest, many times sequels fall flat for me, but this one doesn’t! Ayden did an excellent job with her second installment . . . the characters were compelling, the myths and the world she created around them were awesome, and I had all the right feels along the way. A few times I wished there was more dialogue and that the pacing moved along a bit faster, but that’s just my ADHD talking :-) Overall, I really enjoyed this story and suggest ya’ll add Fall to your summer reading list!

This was a two boo series that should have been three. There was too much sadness going on between the characters and too many young people died and it was hard trying to figure out who the culprits actually were. Unless there is a hidden book that no one knows about, then that book needs to come on out because that series ended awful to me and no resolution was forth coming. Please tell me tpjere is a third book!

I took a chance starting this series but A.K.Morgan has written not only a beautiful story, but also has brought the characters to life.

I would not recommend this book or the first one either. The characters are one-dimensional and the main female character just cries, whines, and serves no purpose. All the main characters act as children and I did not care for any of them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finished it in 3 days - IT IS THAT GOOD!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 6, 2013
You know its a truly gripping and enjoyable book when you finish in under 3 days and shun other books due it. That is how amazingly amazing Fall was. Fade was spectacular but Fall was AWESOME!
We finally learn the aftermath and indeed the aftershocks of the Hati attack on Arionna and the emotional bomb that Dace has turned into with worry and fear. Leaving a lot of mistrust and simmering frustration between the two of them which causes a truly heart breaking decision for Arionna. As they both struggle with the truth of their situation and the rising costs and consequences of their actions or in-action.
Dace does feature prominently in the first half but over time and due to plot twists he takes a step back, never completely gone and in his place steps Ronan the very raven-like personification of Hugnin. Or is it Mugnin? And through an adventure or two, we, alongside Arionna, discover more about his character, why he is the way he is and have to make up our own minds whether he is a good guy or a bad guy. Or neither. He is quite a conundrum character - you think you know him and then he does or says something that makes you rethink all over again.
Fall is purely about character dilemmas and there are few secrets both nordic and personal that pop up within each chapter to keep us on our the edge of seats. And although it may seem at first glance after reading that not a lot over all happens to be honest it doesn't matter. The entire book opened up a deeper sense of empathy between us and the characters. The entire journey through the plot felt like a burning fuse wire endlessly leading us on and making us anticipate the explosion to come and you need to wear safety goggles, bullet proof vest and maybe some plate armour to protect you from the nuclear sized explosion that is triggered in those final few pages. If some readers found Fall at all slow then surely even they appreciate it as a worthy build up to an epic climactic end that leaves us all breathless and dying to know what happens next. Book 3 will have a tidal wave of anticipation for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVED this book!

1st I'd like to say that it's my belief that reviews here should only be allowed to be submitted by those who bought the book on Amazon to avoid Troll accounts giving bad reviews.

    NOW.. Where to start?
I loved this book.. I found myself reading it on my tea break/lunch break even pee breaks at work lol when I just couldn't wait to get home an find out what was happening next.
I love how the characters are unfolding and how they are maturing. I know nothing of Norse mythology yet find myself fascinated by it with how neatly A.K. Morgen has integrated it into the story.
I simply love her writing style I find she weaves the story in a way that you get lost in the characters.
    Brilliant!
    Job well done!!
    Now... When's book 3???????
