    I wasn’t sure what to expect having not read this author before. It does have some triggers from domestic violence and abuse. Very well written to share Josie’s story and finding her way back to the one place she ran from and the love of her life. Blue isn’t immediately thrilled but continuing to see Josie has brought back memories of the one girl he thought he would marry one day. Josie battles trying to decide leaving or staying but one thing she is still deeply in love with Blue. Such a cute second chance love story.

    Blue and Josie will touch your hearts in this endearing story. They were teenage sweethearts with a bright future until disaster struck. She always knew that her parents were explosive together and when her father was on a tear it would be really bad for her mother. Her father took pride in her work in his blacksmith business but on the night of prom Josie's father went too far when he turned his angst on her causing her mother to uproot them from their home. In doing so she left behind her love Blue with very little explanation. Now she is back after the death of her father tying up loose ends and the one person she doesn't want to meet to soon is the very person she runs in to Blue. Even though he has a lot of pent up anger, Blue can't deny the feelings that sparks in Josie's presence. Will they get a chance for a do over and make it to a happily ever after this time around?

    Second chances are my catnip. Loved this story and how Blue was so protective of Josie. This story had all my favorite things -- small town, protective hero, smart and sassy heroine, and great side characters. Josie was a super strong woman, but not annoyingly strong where she pushed the hero away so much that you're rolling your eyes the whole time. She had reasons, and I really loved her personality. Can't wait for the rest of the series!

    Forged in Love by Megan Hetherington is part of the multi-author The Girl Power Romance Collection series. I am loving this diverse series and getting to try new author.
    This is a wonderful second chance with your first teenage love romance. It is romantic, has drama, turmoil, a whole lot of emotion and two young people who have always loved each other even though they were separated for years. Both main characters, Josie and Blue, are nicely written and fit together perfectly.

    I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
