As human beings, we are always a work in progress. From birth to death we live, hurt, laugh, cry, feel, and with all of those emotions we grow as people, as family members, and as friends. I am a dreamer and feel blessed to have the opportunity in my writing to pass those dreams on to others. I believe you are never too old to dream and to turn those dreams into a creative endeavor. I live in rural Minnesota and I am a wife, mother, and grandmother.

I have worn many hats throughout my life such as working as a waitress, nursing home activities, office manager and finally computer repair person eventually owning my own computer repair business. I never forgot my love of writing and quit my computer business in 2012 after signing a contract with Cozy Cat Press for Granny Hooks A Crook, the first book in my Fuchsia, Minnesota Series.

Using my imagination with fictional communities in Minnesota in both the Fuchsia Series and Brilliant, Minnesota Series hopefully will spark imagination in others bringing laughter and joy to my reader's lives.

I also dabble a bit in watercolor painting bringing another passion to my life. When we lose our infinite imagination and passion we lose a little bit inside of ourselves.

Oh, and did I tell you I like to be a little bit silly.

A fast-paced and fun read by Julie Seedorf! Many years ago, the Brilliant brothers settled in Minnesota and the town took on the brothers' name. Not until some years later did the folks living on Penderghast street discover those brothers were obsessed with secret rooms and hidden tunnels. And perhaps hidden treasures? Jezabelle and some of her neighbors form a group pretending to solve puzzles in the library while really they are working at solving a much bigger puzzle - murder.

I just had one very pleasent experience in the town of Brilliant Minnesota, home of widow Jezabelle Jingle, and her friends in the Penderghast neighborhood. And since they all live in the former homes of the puzzling Brilliant brothers, they decided to get together and solve the mystery of the floors, or should they figure out why they all keep getting arrested? And just what is up with "Charity"?

After I spend time in Fushia with Herminony, aka Granny, of this author's other series, I'm determined to find this town of Brilliant and see if I can join this Penderghast Puzzle Protectors group. From the wonderful artwork through to the multitude of brilliant people that live in Brilliant, I may try to a job at the Bistro and stay a while.

I really enjoyed this book. Well written and fun, as are most of Seedorf's work, its a fast and fun read that I highly recommend.

How Well Do You Know Your Neighbors?

The people who live in the Penderghast neighborhood of Brilliant, Minnesota thought that they knew their neighbors really well. But people do have their secrets. The puzzle here is that someone is stealing pieces of floors out of their houses. Jezabelle Jingle keeps an eye on her neighbors, not to be a gossip, mind you, but to make sure that everyone and everything is fine on her street.
It is a delightful story, something that you might find on a mystery of the week movie. If you're in the mood for something light, with no cursing or evil or perversions, that this is the book for you.

Jezabelle Jingle lives in the small Minnesota town of Brilliant. She and her neighbors live in the houses originally built by the town's founders, who were seven brothers. They are shocked when pieces of their hardwood floors begin to disappear. Determined to get to the bottom of the thefts, Jezzie and her friends form the Puzzle Protectors in order to solve the mystery.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was funny, light-hearted and kept me guessing. The plot was also extremely original. I love Jezzie and her group of friends. They were all very well written and seemed to jump off of the page. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
