Turning Wheels: Satan's Devils MC #1 Kindle Edition
All I did was try to help my best friend escape her abusive boyfriend, and for that I ended up in a wheelchair. But my nightmare is only beginning. Ethan wants me as leverage to get his woman back.
I end up under the protection of the Satan’s Devils, an outlaw motorcycle club in Arizona. The woman I was would have been in her element among a group of handsome, rugged bikers; the disabled woman I am now feels scared and vulnerable, and soon I find this isn’t the safest place to hide.
But with a contract out on me, there’s nowhere else for me to go, and maybe one reason to stay. Wraith, the VP.
Wraith
She doesn’t fit into our world. Hell, even if she wasn’t in that damn wheelchair she’d be out of her depth. But as soon as I saw her something attracted me to her.
From the start I wanted her, but she thinks she’s undesirable and is scared of taking a man to her bed as though her disability defines who she is. I’m going to need to teach her she’s wrong.
But before I can take my chance everything goes to shit. She’s under our protection, but we fail to protect her from one of our own.

About the author

Manda’s life's always seemed a bit weird, starting with a childhood that even today she’s still trying to make sense of, then losing her parents in the late teens. Going from the tragic to the bizarre, who else could be unlucky enough to have had two car accidents, neither her fault, one involving a nun, and another involving a police woman?
There isn’t enough space to list everything that’s happened to Manda, or what she’s learned from it. But by using the rich fabric of her personal life, psychology degree, varied work experiences, and amazing characters she’s met, Manda is able to populate her books with believable in-depth characters and enjoys pitting them against situations which challenge them. Her books are full of suspense, twists and turns and the unexpected.
Manda lives in the beautiful countryside of Essex in the UK, the area’s claim to fame being the Wilkin’s Jam Factory at nearby Tiptree. She can usually find jars of jam which remind her of home wherever she goes. As well as writing books and reading, Manda loves walking her dogs and keeping fit. She lives with her husband of over 30 years, who, along with her son, is her greatest fan and supporter.
Manda is thankful that one of the more unusual, and at the time unpleasant, turns her life took, now enables her to spend her time writing. Confirming, in her view, every cloud has a silver lining.

Taken in by Satans Devils MC, turned out to be a blessing in discuise in the long run. They were keeping her hidden and alive from a man who wanted her best friend, as he already had tried to kill her once for helping her get away. The MC call her Wheels because she is in a wheel chair but theres one person who can relate and can help. But its the VP who catches her attention and looks after her.
Can the Satans Devils keep her safe when theres a bounty on her head, and especially since they find out that another rival gang has taken up that bounty.
Such a great story.
Turning Wheels is the first book in Satan’s Devils MC Series by Manda Mellett. This is the book that started it all. I remember coming into the series on book six, not sure what to expect or if I would even like the book, as I wasn’t a huge fan of MC series. But boy did I change my mind quite quickly. I enjoyed it so much that I went back and got the previous five books to consume, too… and so started my Manda Mellett addiction.
I have read every one of her books now and have found that I can always count on her to spin an enthralling read. Recently, the earlier books in the series popped up on my recommended book feed, sparking pleasant memories that were spent between these pages, prompting me to read them all over again. I am happy to say that I have enjoyed going back to the beginning of this series just as much as I did the first time around.
This story really tugged at my heartstrings. Meeting Sophie and discovering everything she’d been through, how much her disability eroded her confidence and sense of self, made my heart ache for her. I wasn’t sure to begin with that Wraith would be the right ‘one’ for her- but he soon changed my mind. Then add in the danger, tension, suspense, and chemistry! Bam- we have a heart-pounding read!
If you love a really beautifully written, riveting MC story- with complex, quirky and loveable characters, sizzling scenes, overcoming adversity, all wrapped within an original plot- then this is definitely a book you won’t want to miss. Be warned though, you may discover that one of Ms. Mellett’s addictive books may not be enough!
Thank you, Ms. Mellett!
Can anything good come from tragedy?
You have read to find out Sophie and Wraith Wow, the whole MC Family is just wicked loved it.
Leaving off from Zoe and Kadar's epic and action packed romance we finally get to see what the hell happened to Sophie and meet Satan's devil's.
Sophie has such a deep and twisted story behind her and is much more than just the wheelchair bound best friend to Zoe. She's a deeply scarred woman with a lot of insecurities.
I freaking love turning wheels because the heroine is so full of life and fear. She's struggling with her loss but Horse won't let her drown. Wraith steps in to help with no idea why or how he has such deep and intense feelings for this particular woman.
The drama and angst annoy me so much I just have to keep reading. There's so much packed into this book it feels like it shouldn't ever end. I love manda's books because they're not simple or short. Even a spin off is so full of life it is hard to believe it's not real.
Definitely worth the read
Sophie is still reeling from the wounds inflicted from helping her best friend when she is once again put in the cross fire of a dangerous and completely insane past. When unexpected help turns up she is not sure if she is trading one bad situation for another. What she comes to realise is this group of people will do anything they see as theirs to keep them safe.
Wraith is the VP and he has no time for women other than to take the edge off but when a broken creature comes into his world she brings out the protective streak in him.

The main female character Sophie has been put in a precarious situation that has her running for her life. Not knowing just how much danger she is in she gets mixed up being under the protection of the club and all that comes with it, when a man named Horse can’t help but want to take care of her.
Sophie has no idea what she has gotten herself into and while obviously cautious she doesn’t seem to have much choice given her current circumstances. Once she is taken to the clubhouse she sees things she never imagined. She is a woman who has lost a part of herself and is ready to give up, but when she meets the VP Wraith she begins to let her mind wonder what if.
Wraith is by all accounts a mans man who has no desire to be with just one woman or have an “ol lady” not to mention the President Drummer has already said hands off to everyone. You see Sophie’s wall start to come down but go right back up and your heart will break.
There are so many intricate layers to this story and the characters. I learned more than I ever knew possible but what I found moved the most by was that the author is one of best storytellers I have ever read. You feel like you are right there watching everything play out. We connected to each character in one way or another whether it be love, admiration, or immense dislike.
This story had tough storylines, it has suspense, love, disgust, passionate scenes and at the heart of it is family. You feel the loss, the wins, the anger, and will cry at least twice. This story grabbed me and wouldn’t let me go no matter what. I can’t wait to read every single book by this author. If you like action packed books with mayhem, love, and powerful people you will enjoy this book.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and let me tell you it definitely won’t be the last!! This book had me gripped from the very start and if life hadn’t got in the way, I would have read it in one sitting. I love a good MC read and this one doesn’t disappoint me.
Sophie captivated me from the very start and I fell in love with her character, and with the determination she had in her...she made me love her all the more. Now had in Waith and WOW....he is HOT as hell!! This two are meant to be together but with such turn of events that happen, their relationship is put up the test.
This story not only pulls at your heartstrings at times, it also made me laugh at some parts. The whole story is gripping and has you on the edge of your seat. Parts of it I didn’t see coming.
Hands down an amazing read and I can’t wait to read more in this series. Definitely a 5 ⭐️ and one I will be recommending to everyone. Onto the next one now.
