Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka Science Fiction Kindle Edition
Award - winning Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka written by Brenda Mohammed is an entertaining read, original, brilliant, and filled with suspense.
It is a science-fiction novel with lingering themes of human flaws, evil, and good.
The futuristic thriller set in the year 2036, inspired by the scare of the zika virus, was first released as a series but works well as a novel.
A Reviewer said, "For a teacher or student, this book would make a great comparative study to Frankenstein or Shakespeare's plays, with love, lies, and revenge as persistent human traits."
Another reviewer compared the book to the Twilight Zone with its unnerving accuracy of being in an era where we encounter zombies and robots.
The author takes the reader on a journey through time where some human values are negative, and some are imperative to the improvement of the human condition.
If you're not a zombie fan, this book will draw you, as it's destined to shock and delight.
The excitement builds with each story and the author succeeds in pulling the various strands together to offer a satisfying conclusion, where good triumphs over evil
This futuristic thriller was an award winner in the Category -Young Adult Thriller in Reader's Favorite International Awards 2018, winner in Science Fiction in SIBA Awards 2017, winner of the gold award in the category science fiction in Connections Emagazine Readers' Choice Awards 2018, and winner in the top ten finalists for science-fiction in the Author Academy Global Awards 2018.
The International Chamber of Writers and Artists in Spain gave the book an award in April 2023, on the occasion of World Book Day.
Reader's Favorite International gave it a five-star review.
Here is an extract of that review:
"Zeeka Chronicles is a thoughtful series and would delight fans of the genre.
Brenda Mohammed is an author brimming with original ideas, and definitely an author to follow."

Just when you thought you knew everything about Zombies, comes this imaginative tale that re-defines their existence.
Set in the future, new technology and scientific breakthroughs open the door to possibilities that are vaguely imaginable in this day and age.
This is a tale of love, lies, revenge and a deadly virus. There is a lot jam-packed into the plot, making for an exciting read.
There were two areas where this book fell short for me.
The first was the dialogue.
Having more than one person speak in the same paragraph can lead to confusion. It also created a situation in which the character speaking constantly needed to say the name of the person they were talking to. That, in itself, comes off as unnatural. I would also suggest the author put extra thought into the way certain characters would speak, especially professionals to each other at work.
The second was the romance.
I don't want to give away any spoilers, but I will say I felt it unrealistic, especially the female lead.
I will be watching for future works by this author. I love the originality and can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
3/5 Stars

There are many interesting characters in the series, I especially like the robots Miranda and Eve, but also the humans, such as Detective Jack Wildy who is surely due a spin-off story of his own.
It may be beyond most of us to write one good zombie tale, but Brenda Mohammed has given us five.
When book three came out it appeared to be the end of Zeeka's story, but book four - Zeeka's Ghost - took the series to a new and exciting higher level.
Resurrection - Book Five, does what it is supposed to do - it rounds off the series nicely but not in a limp, predictable way.
It is sufficiently different from 'Ghost' to buy on its own, which you can do of course. But 'Chronicles' gives you the whole story for a great price.
So if you want a zombie story with a heart - get this collection today.

The book is very fast-paced - blink and you'll miss something. I believe the book was first released as a series but still worked well as a novel. While each section had a well-rounded resolution they also progressed the overall story. As someone who reads at bedtime, it was handy to have a natural place to break off reading.
I was so pleased by Nine's ending!
Recommend to readers who like zanny, fun reads.
