Finding Justice: A Honky Tonk Angels Tale from Cotton Creek Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 296 ratings

"Hold onto your hats – there's something new on the horizon for the folks in Cotton Creek. In Finding Justice, Ciana nails the "second chance" romance with heart, humor and hang-onto-your hat thrills. It doesn't get any better than this." - Candid Book Reviews.

Justice Weathers has his hands full with the ranch and his twin boys. A widower whose love life is pretty much non-existent and maybe that’s for a reason. His family doesn’t seem to have much luck with happily-ever-after. Sex? That's something an ex-rodeo bad boy can handle. Love 'em and leave'em. He’s not looking for love. Heck he runs from it. He might have a bit of running to do. Someone’s on her way to Cotton Creek and when she gets there she’s gonna stir up a whole lot of feelings he’s spent the last three years trying to forget. Yeah, that bit about nothing ever happening in Cotton Creek? So wrong.
If you love small-town and rural, feel-good love stories like those of Robyn Carr and her Virgin River series, Ann-Marie Meyer and The Red Stilletto Book Club, Tricia O'Malley, the Siren Island series, Pamela Kelley, Nantucket Beach Plum Cove series, or any of the wonderful books by Carolyn Brown, then this is a book and a series for you!

Ciana has a way of weaving a tale that leaves you spellbound. Sweet, funny, and a splash of Danger! Definitely a story you can get lost in.

Two people from different worlds who know one another only from what they have shared with one another in Facebook messages. They've never heard the other's voice, or seen a photo.

Riley Morgan and Analise Becke are in for a big surprise - actually a series of surprises. Their lives are about to be turned upside down as passion and danger come to Cotton Creek, Texas. And they say nothing ever happens in Cotton Creek.

Book 3 of the Honky Tonk Angels Series

Ms. Stone has certainly made Cotton Creek an exciting place with her fast-paced, hard to put down tales, and this one is no exception

Love was the last thing on Kyle Stader's mind. He'd found and lost that once and he wasn't about to ever let himself feel that kind of hurt again. He was content if not happy, his quiet bad boy alpha reputation provided him a steady supply of willing bed partners. He could live without love and the pain it caused. So, when Liz Redgate shows up in Cotton Creek, he might find himself interested, but it darn sure isn't going to go anywhere except maybe the bedroom.

Book 4 of the Honky Tonk Angels Series

Ciana Stone does it again. This is a truly enjoyable love story that will tug at your heartstrings.

His family and friends referred to him as a "rounder" because when it came to the ladies, Jayce (rhymes with Chase) Weathers, definitely gets around. He's the hot bad boy who knows how to give a woman a night of wild pleasure, some laughs and leaves them wanting more and chasing after him. Not that they're likely to catch him. Jayce isn't opposed to settling down, he just hasn't met the right woman -- if she even exists. He's starting to wonder. And then Billy Sweet shows up at the Honky Tonk Angels bar where Jayce is finishing the remodel on the top floor, and he has with him a woman and her two year old daughter. Callie and Lily Williams.

Callie brings out something in Jayce. Something besides passion and lust. He wants to be her hero.

Western Romance, small town & Rural, contemporary romance, feel good romance

Book 5 of the Honky Tonk Angels Series

Better than any night time drama!

Things have gotten downright smoldering in Cotton Creek. The oil boom has the town bursting at the seams, and has Cody and Hannah run ragged with the bar being packed every night. Leave it to their mama to come up with a solution. Stella talks ther nephew Cade to go to Cotton Creek and helphis cousins. He just sold a casino in Atlanta City and has no idea what he wants to do next. What were the odds that a month after he arrives, Roxie Ellis' 1957 T-bird would break down just outside of Cotton Creek and she'd be needing a job to make enough to affect repairs? Gambler's luck? Maybe. Whatever the case, sparks fly at first glance and before you can call red on a roulette wheel, Cade and Roxie are neck deep in what is surely the most erotic bet of their lives. The problem is, the bet becomes a whole lot more serious than either of them plan and soon Cade is Playing for Keeps.

Small town & rural, western romance, contemporary romance, feel good romance

Book 6 of the Honky Tonk Angels Series

The book you were waiting for and OMG was the wait worth it.

Hannah may have found her dream guy in Cooper Quinlan, and she's damned determine to plan the perfect wedding -- no matter who she drives crazy. Everything would be perfect if she could just ignore the little bursts of excitement she gets every time she sees Bryson Weathers. Cody isn't being much help. She doesn't give a hoot in hell about fancy dresses and weddings. What she does care about is the clandestine relationship she has with Jaxon Riggs. He's made no bones about the fact that he isn't looking for forever. She is, but if it's not in the cards then so be it. Riggs trips her switch and she's not about to pass up one moment with him, nor is she about to let anything prevent her from being with him.

Come share the joys and woes, the danger and the fun as we prove once more that the old saying "nothing ever happens in Cotton Creek" needs to be changed to "Looking for Trouble? You've come to the right place."

second chance romance, western romance, small town & rural

Book 7 of the Honky Tonk Angels Series

A second chance romance that will melt your heart.

She walked into my life when I was 17. Actually, I walked into hers. I applied for an after-school job at her photography studio. I fell for her at first glance. She was my first love. Actually, she was my first at a lot of things, and when she walked out on me, she broke my heart. I thought it had healed. Then I saw her again and as corny as it sounds, looking into her eyes was like coming home. The question is, can old hurts be forgotten, and can old love be rekindled? I don't know, but sure as hell hope it's possible.

CIANA DOES IT AGAIN!

Could not put it down until the last page. Love the story of Jo and Justice. It wasn't an easy journey to HEA, but one well worth taking! I laughed, I cried, I cheered and I walked away a satisfied reader.

Ciana Stone writes another fantastic book!!! This is the second book in the Honky Tonk Angels series and will keep your attention from the first page. We welcome the Nash family back into the fold through the Weathers family. J. D.( Justice) Weathers is the oldest son of Jason (Jedediah Nash), widower raising his twin sons. Jolene works for famous TV show and I'd on her way to Cotton Creek to interview with the Weathers family and tying them to the Nash curse. She is also bringing pease of mind to Jason about the events in his youth that lead him to flee and change his name. J. D. Is shocked to see Jo the woman that had haunted him for three years. Undeserved guilt has a way of changing a person and Jo is now the target for that guilt and after digging up some information of past events she understands why. As Jo makes friends with his family and the people of Cotton Creek things are brought to light and J. D. accepts the truth of things he realizes he needs Jo in his life. When a mad man strikes out at Jo he is terrified of losing her but when the mad man involves one of his sons all hell breaks loose. Can J. D. save his son and the woman he loves in time or is the Nash curse going yo strike again??? This is a very powerful story of love and a lost soul accepting the truth and letting go, the importance of family and friends and risking your life for someone you love.
You will laugh at the banter, cry for the heartache and get goosebumps when Joe appears yet again.

Thank you Ciana Stone for a great read

I thought this was a wonderful story, just didn't like it as much as I had the one before. It was nice to go back to the small town, catch up on a few of my favorite characters and see new one. The mystery is a little harder to work out, the author is keeping her cards to her chest. It is well written, with danger, passion and again a lost love. Justin truly broke my heart with all the quilt he carries around. I love his family, his boys are truly wonderful young men. I like how his father though up in years still has sass and keeps the family in line. Joe is a woman after my heart so touching and carrying.

The narrator did a wonderful job with his character voices, the passion he gives them, through him you see right into their souls. He gives true passion to their pain, love and sorrow. His male and female voices are lovely as they pull you in and you become part of the story. There are no repeating of words, no background and no volume changes. You always know who is talking and what they are feeling. I love how he puts his voice into it making you feel the danger and passion. He has become one of my favorite narrators, I could listen to his narration all day. I always know when I see his name I am in for a wonderful meaning ride that I will truly enjoy.

I have totally enjoy this author's style, love the touch of supernatural and how she draws you in, and you become a believer. This is the third of her books that I have listen to, I thought it was a good story with a great plot but didn't enjoy it as much as I have the last two. It is a good addition to the series, I am looking forward to the next one. This is an author that you will want to listen to this series more than one.

If you read Southern Comfort and weren't quite sure of this series, like I was, rest assured that Ciana Stone pulled out the big guns for this book. It is her usual style, as was Southern Comfort, I suppose. I guess the difference for me was that the first book was kind of a prequel which set the stage. I enjoyed it and it was a good read. However, unlike Finding Justice, it wasn't like slipping into a comfy sweater on a winter's day. It didn't quite fit. Finding Justice does fit. Reading it was comforting and exciting and wonderful. Almost like coming home. I read it and could just settle in.
All of that said, reading Southern Comfort is essential. Technically I suppose this could be a stand alone book but there is so much character development in the previous book that this story would not be complete without it.
Another thing that I found essential was the Whisperers Trilogy which told the story of the Nash brothers. If you have read that series, this book has the same feel when reading it. There is a lot of background, again for characters, but also for situations that are broadly explained in this book but for true understanding of the references, you should read that first.
All of that said, there isn't much that I can say that won't ruin any of the books I have just instructed you to read before reading this book. I will say that it was fabulously done and I truly fell in love with Justice and Jolene is just perfect for him. Cotton Creek is a wonderful setting and I can't wait to read more about the Honky Tonk Angels.

This is the second book in a wonderful series of six books. I read Books 2 and 3, one after the other and highly recommend all of the first three in the series that I have read.. This second one is about a TV producer(Jolene) who is making a film for a country-type TV series and wants to film the Weathers ranch family. She falls in love with JD Weathers (stands for Justice Dylan). A question is whether Justice can get past a traumatic episode in his life three years before, in order to allow himself to love another woman. And then there is the title of the book. Will the main characters find justice in the events of their lives? Will Jolene be able to find the REAL Justice in a man who has been hurt by the past and is not revealing himself on the outside? And will Jolene be able to find a man to love her as she needs to be loved, is Justice that man? Again, I highly recommend this second book and though this book is a standalone, I know readers will get even more out of it if they have read about the characters in Book 1, just to make some extra connections in Book 2.
