Salvation's Sinner: MM Military Romance/Romantic Suspense (Delta Force: Team Lynx Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 888 ratings

Castello Moran spent his life in Delta Force. The former Team Lynx Commander now leads Task Force Ambra targeting former military personal gone rogue. When a routine job in The Congo leads Castello to the side of himself he had suppressed for a lifetime, will he find the courage to acknowledge it and to claim the mechanic making him forget every rule he had put in place under Don't Ask Don't Tell so long ago?

Axel Shaw keeps his head down and his mouth shut. He has spent his life building bikes. He couldn't care less about drugs on the streets and all that jazz. He is more concerned where his sister and her kid are. Chasing a lead takes him to a country that he never should have been in and his ass in more trouble than he’d ever managed to find before. He takes the rescue Castello and his team offer and he’s grateful for it. But now he has another problem. He really should not be figuring out how fast he can get the sexy assed ex-Delta Operator in his bed... right?

Missions are never easy, and this one is turning more personal by the second. Castello now has more on the line than he has ever had before, and his heart makes him question if his Salvation can really be a Sinner?

Please Note: Sinner is the first book in a series with an overreaching series ARC and a HFN / slight cliffhanger ending.

Several reviews mention being unhappy with the abrupt ending or lack of ending for the MCs. I admit to reading the last couple pages twice to make sure I didn't miss anything. But if Annebella continues as she has in the past, we will see plenty of final touches to Axel and Castello's story. And frankly - based on how she has written the entire series, this works.
In most series, the MCs find love and then in subsequent books, they are blurbs or cameos within the story. Here all these characters are very active in each book, with the new MC's romance being the reason, but not THE driving factor. There is a huge hint of this continuation when Allie tells Sage they have set him up a work space in their War Room...

I always wait very impatiently for the next releases. I pre-order once they are available. And I have read most of these more than once. Often re-reading them each time a new book came out. In this case, I went back to Jason/Felix's story and Zenko/Shaun's novella to 're-introduce' myself to Castello before I started his book. You don’t have to, I’m a bit OCD, but it helps with the comments about Castello’s son Rourke.

I liked the story of Axel and Castello. Team Lynx is introduced. The quick mission to rescue Axels sister involves team Panther and a few of our favorite Ghosts. I feel like the relationship between the two main characters is rushed and never really fulfilled. The ending is underwhelming.

It was great seeing old favorites from the previous books.

This is the second time I've read Salvation's Sinner. After reading all the books including the book the new release I found myself
Wanting start all over now that I know them. I am not disappointed! Cas and Axe even better the second time through!

I’m sure this storyline will continue in the next book but I wish there was a little more to this book. Krystal has been home for three months so why not give a little of her story and since we know Zelenskyy and Malik’s story I would have liked seeing how they are dealing with Zelenskyy suddenly having a son.

I'm so sorry I came in late. I will be going back and reading the books before hand. And definitely waiting with bated breath for the next. I knew the entire time I was reading i was missing something so when i finished i went and looked it up and i had missed all the goodness before and will certainly rectify that ASAP. As for this charmer. So good. Cas and Axe were just great it was clear they were a match. I'll say I had a few problems with various details of said story. Like Axel seemed to be a little weak willed at times and forgave Cas a little to fast for my taste on certain things. On that note. Cas made some decisions that just plained rubbed me the wrong way, things that would earn him and slap in the face and a possible gut check from me. He disrespected Axel by treating him as an unequal at times. Not that o don't think these two weren't magical cause they were and lastly his sister for me was horrible. She lied and kept secrets from him, excluded him from her life and then acted as if he bugged her by being around. Like he just went to the Congo got captured and tortured trying to find your snotty azz. Get off your high horse Princess and treat him better. Cause if the rolls were reversed I don't see you doing that for him. I did not like her and I won't. Sorry not sorry.

Cas and Axe are so good together! The Task Force are out to get previous military that turn bad. Delta Force are also joining the Task Force for a delicate mission so we get to see some of our other team!

Just as amazing as the other series. I recommend to start with the Delta Force Team Panther and Tags of Honor series to get the full experience. All these series are taking place in the same world. I can't wait for the next one.

3.0 out of 5 stars An okay read
Reviewed in Australia on August 15, 2020
I usually enjoy books from this author and this one made a promising start; however, too many editing errors meant a lack of reading fluency. More potential if it had been edited well. Hence the three stars.

I couldn’t get enough of this book, it ended to soon. Castello and Axel are great characters to start this new series off by Annabella Stone. I loved the interaction of all the guys on team Lynx with a few Panthers thrown in. The best time you will have reading this story in my opinion. I look forward to the next book in the series.

2.0 out of 5 stars Writing style not my thing
Reviewed in Germany on July 21, 2022
The writing style is not mine. Jumping from one person's view to another's within a text block. Very many military expressions which were not used in a natural flow.
This bothered me throughout the book.

I always enjoy reading Annabella Stone and Salvation’s Sinner is a good start to the new Delta Force series Team Lynx. Costello and Axel work well as a couple and it’s great to see some of Team Panther here too. There’s hilarious moments, action and heat plus enough little gems to get you wanting the rest of the teams stories. I’m not usually good with HFN but at last it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger.

Totally loved the book. It was well worth the wait. Bit disappointed in the spelling mistakes because I had to keep repeating the line over until it read correctly
