Absolutely one of my very favorite books I’ve read this fall. I loved the location which makes me want to visit there. I also loved the love story and especially the HEA! That’s usually my favorite part but I loved the story from beginning to end. I recommend this book very much!

This was a delightful story with great characters that were realistic and loveable. The location, a tropical island was intriguing and the romance was sweet. One of the characters wasn't so nice and brought some drama to the plot. A fun book to read.

Abandoned at the altar by a cruel fiancé, Julie Anderson, a perky, energetic photographer, decides not to let her nonrefundable honeymoon tickets go to waste, and escapes to the Caribbean — a daring cope considering that everywhere she goes she is reminded of her “not quite married” status.

Alexander “Zan” deKeurge, a billionaire more comfortable at the helm of his boat than in the boardroom, has an unusual problem: Everywhere he goes he is surrounded by beautiful, desirable women, all of them deeply in love with his pocketbook, not him.

When Julie and Zan meet on the luxury boat charter meant for her honeymoon, they get off on the wrong foot, and stay there. A wounded heart, Julie is not ready for more than friendship with any man. But Zan is so head over heels for this girl, he ends up acting more like Captain Ron than Gavin MacLeod.

Yet time heals all wounds, and there is magic in Caribbean rum. When a work opportunity tempts Julie to linger longer in the islands, and a close encounter with pirates thrusts her and Zan together, a second chance at love blossoms like a tropical orchid.

Remember when love stories were meant to entertain you, make you smile and fill your heart with hope?

Contemporary romance novelist Pat Adeff does, and in “Mahi-Mahi Matrimony” she delivers on that promise and then some in fun, perky prose reminiscent of your favorite romcom.

So weigh anchor and hoist the sails! Let Skipper Pat take you on a voyage to a wonderful destination full of beach weddings, sunsets and second chances.

The opening of this book really grabbed my attention. Bride-to-be Julie looks gorgeous in her wedding dress. She's at the church, all the guests are eagerly waiting for the ceremony to begin. Except, the groom's nowhere to be found. He's skipped out with Julie's best friend and maid of honor!

I loved that Julie decided to go on her honeymoon trip anyway, alone (this all happens in the first chapter, so it's not a spoiler).,

She ends up on a cruise where two guys take an interest in her. And all Julie wants is to chill out after her not-wedding. Then things get even more complicated, but I won't spoil the story.

Written in an engaging style that kept my interest, this is a delightful second book in the series I think should appeal to romance fans everywhere.

Really enjoyed this addition to the series. If you love travel, sweet romance and the beach, this book is perfect for you. It's got a nice story set in a wonderful backdrop. I definitely want to read it again, maybe while sitting by the ocean enjoying an iced tea and listening to the waves crash.

It was a good story, but to many loses ends of characters. No spice whatsoever! Only kissing. Point of view changes are weird. So many unneeded descriptions of things.

Highly recommend this book. Pat Adeff has an easy way of writing that makes you snuggle down for a guaranteed great read. Zan is so cute in his obliviousness but has good people to open help open his eyes. Julie is the perfect foil for him.

Another great read from Pat Adeff. Looking forward to the next in the series. This being my second series of Adeff's I'm sure I'll love it as much as the Largo Bay series.
