When children are being put up for hits by unbelievably, their parents, one man steps in to take the job! James Gaffney is the main character in this story and is a man you will get to know very well. Along with his secretary or should I say his personal assistant Marisa, they run a very lucrative “hit” business. But is it all that it seems? While being hounded by the FBI and another key player in this story, Detective Reggie Keane, James must try and solve an old problem before the mob hits him. As with all of Mr. Rosamilia’s stories, I was captivated by this thriller…reading as fast as I could…holding on to the edge of my seat! There is a lot of action which added to holding my breath a few times and had me wondering what the heck could happen next, only to have something even worse come up! The cast of characters is definitely well developed, some likable and others…not so much. It was also nice to see a few characters from other books by this author brought up along the way but you needn’t have read those in order to read this one. One thing that I will mention is that as other reviewers have said…the ending is abrupt! It’s the type of ending that will leave the reader saying…Huh? And maybe add a few choice words to the author that shouldn’t be repeated but…isn’t that what a good author is supposed to do? Leave the reader wanting more? I personally think so! Thank you dear author for an enjoyable and entertaining story that definitely made this reader want more and look forward to the next book in this series!

What a surprise, I was hooked within the first chapter and read the entire book in one sitting. The action, suspense and humour kept me turning the pages - and a couple of the plot twists had me saying OMG out loud. Be warned the story has a very abrupt ending that left me shell-shocked and desperate to read the next installment .... Mr Rosamilia, I really hope you have the next one ready to go!

Crime Fiction is not my normal genre - I am a sci-fi, horror and chick lit reader, CF has never really appealed to me and I have struggled to finish other books in this genre. However, I voted for Dirty Deeds on Kindle scout and received an advance copy and hence added it to my current read list as a courtesy to the author .... so glad I did!

I burned through this in one sitting. A very well written story, that has great characters, a awesome plot, and enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. The ending is very abrupt, (Be Warned), but leaves it on a cliff hanger that will have you begging, and anxiously awaiting the next installment in the series!

This is my first time reading this author. I will probably read more by him.
I'm unsure how to classify the genre. It is definitely a mystery, almost a cozy. It felt like an old time detective story, without the detective. There is also suspense and action.
The characters are likeable. Backstory for the main male character, "James" is still a mystery, although there are clues. James is not an alpha character like I would expect in similar books. It works. I like him.
This book ends with the dreaded cliffhanger. I now need to read the next book for the continued story.
