The Negotiation: A Billionaire Romance Kindle Edition
Companionship is a good thing. Relationships are not.
I was raised to believe that happily ever after didn’t exist and that relationships were doomed before they even started. Life is uncomplicated and good as long as the attraction to someone is purely physical. I lived by that and was probably the only anti-relationship person in the world. I found myself amid so much man drama that I decided to take a hiatus from dating until I met the brutally handsome CEO of Caine Property Development & Management, Jackson Caine. He was as anti-relationship as I was and wanted to negotiate a deal that would let us have our cake and eat it too—a contract without any strings and drama. Until...
Jackson
I grew up in a world where I was taught that nothing lasts forever, compliments of my divorced parents. I saw and lived the destruction of each relationship my parents had, and it was something I never wanted. I was career-driven, successful, the boss of my own life, and as anti-relationship as possible. I’d had my fill of women and the drama that went with them until I met Emily Wade—a sinfully beautiful woman who understood and shared my thoughts. We were the perfect companions for each other—no complications, no drama, and certainly no commitment. We negotiated a deal that would suit both of us and as long as no one broke the rules set in place, we could both have our cake and eat it too. Until…

Emily's mother completely ruined any chance that she believed in happily ever after or that there was "the one" for anyone. The opening chapter was very telling, we see Emily over the years observing her mothers obsession with companionship but not relationships. She grew up watching her mum go through a revolving door of men. At age 27 Emily is now a successful boutique owner and firmly believes she doesn't need a man to make her happy. That all fly's out the window when she meets Jackson Kane, wandering into her store seeking a present for his sister. A successful CEO who has the same views on relationships as her, their beliefs seem to fit perfectly - just like a business deal. Hence after a few very saucy hook-ups, they Negotiate a "companionship" deal. They set the rules and of course what could go wrong.... what could indeed! Great fun, enjoyable read. Another 5 stars.
Emily did not believe in happily ever after. Her mother completely ruined that for her. She grew up watching her mom date man after man but never letting them in. Emily was a successful business owner and didn't need a man to make her happy. Emily was ready to be free of men and the drama that came with them. That all flew out the window when she met Jackson Kane, who was a successful CEO who has the same views on relationships as her. Their beliefs seem to fit perfectly just like a business deal. They could have it all. They set the rules and of course what could go wrong? Two people perfect for each other couldn't possibly want more. Or could they?
There were times I wanted to scream and shake some sense into both of them. Sandi Lynn always pulls me into her books and gets me so emotionally attached. Another five star read for me!!

One fabulous writer, keep them coming from your me and your fans!

I really enjoyed meeting Jackson and mily, their no nonsense attitude.
What a great storyline, with no exceptions, no misconstrued promises and no intentions...
Emily was brought up, with hearing her Mother warn her to not fall in love, although she never gave a reason.
Jackson was also hardened to not having a deep and meaningful relationship either, after watching his parents marriage fail.
They undertake a contract on being companions, unfortunately everybody could see what was happening, even if they didn't they were both in denial.
They navigated everything quite well, but in the end the heart gets control and you can't stop the feelings.
Jackson's parents threw a curveball onto the proceedings and that made Jackson re think things, although he was hell bent on keeping his and Emily's negotiation in place.
Emily tried so hard to keep her feelings at bay, and to some extend so did Jackson, you got the feels as a reader, it was fun watching them both realise that they did in fact have feelings, and when Emily discovers something, she struggles with deciding the best plan of action, sadly she gets caught up in something terrible, which does make Jackson work out his true feeling, there is a trail of destruction, but they do finally work out that there is indeed a greater plan for them both.
Great page turner. loved this..

Was passiert?
