Father's Land Kindle Edition

5.0 out of 5 stars 1 rating

Five years have passed since Otis Lovejoy undertook his sojourn to America. He has now returned home to Nigeria, frustrated and disillusioned, to the land where he grew. A small town called Futa Mallon, located in the middle-belt region. A lot has changed since he left.

Armed militant bandits have sprung up across the country, relentlessly terrorising the civilian population. One of such terrorist group is called the Black Path, of which his brother Joshua has since become a member.

One afternoon, a bomb goes off in a crowded market square in Minna, killing dozens of people. Kingsley barely survives, but his girlfriend, Sybil, doesn't. Otis vows revenge as he becomes a blood-thirsty vigilante and starts going after the five group leaders of the Black Path, intending on taking them out one by one until he encounters their alleged leader known by the alias Ishmael, who so happens to be his brother. The further he does, the more Otis learns about his impending fate, unaware of the ubiquitous criminal mastermind leading him towards his death.

A man returns home to Nigeria, reconnects with an old flame, and she ends up getting killed. He decides to avenge her death by becoming a vigilante, going after the group that committed that heinous act, called Black Path. The leader, being someone he knows.
